What's the best video editing software now?
 

Is it still Adobe premiere?

Vegas.....

I've been using Vegas lately, but I often wonder what other folks use as a workflow for processing video.

Vegas is by far the best imho...

It never was.

Final Cut Pro or AVID.

k I think I'm gonna check out vegas...

I prefer Adobe Premiere Pro and the Aspect HD plugin for hi-definition editing, plus the rest of the Adobe suite including Encore for DVD authoring, Photoshop for graphics, and Audition for sound editing. But Vegas is also popular for pcs, otherwise Final Cut Pro if you are a Mac guy.

Its the one you feel comfortable with and do the best work.if you ever want to work in mainstream as a editor its avid or final cut pro.

When I got vegas and told people I was using it. They all laughed. Now look.

Vegas is so easy, a fuckin' monkey could use it. Is it the best? Fuck no. not even close. It's good enough for porn though.

Vegas (by Sony) does HD editing as well, and it also has a DVD authoring program (architect, also by Sony) and photshop integrates well into both, and Acid (also by Sony) is built on the Vegas UI so using all 3 programs is easy.


.. so easy a fuckin monkey could do it.


Anyone know where I can get some good cheap worker monkeys?

AVID is old and relatively worthless

premiere is slow and processor intensive

Final Cut is way over rated and way too expensive

Vegas...is the shit
