i didnt get it specifically because it didnt have the scroll wheel that the 8700 does.

Word. Leave the "pearl" on the Pearl. Although someone I know is a Blackberry junkie.. they went from 8700 to Pearl to 8800 and they're loving it. Also, it may sound silly, but I like my phone to have a camera.. and if it could somehow dispense a shot of liquor.. all the better..

Yes, we got one last week from Cingular. The trackball is awesome! It's a really great smart phone. Surfing regular sites kinda sucks on it... but otherwise I love it :thumbsup
