.net domains are OK, as a lot of big paysites and freesites can testify. Thing is if the .com is doing exactly what you want to do with the .net then it is not so great if they started before you.

and theres been a few others this year over $25k a piece
but then there have been some .info and .mobis that
have gotten over that amount as well

if the .com was taken i would go with the .tv rather than the .net. that's if i was absolutely hell bent on using the domain. from a branding perspective i think .tv is better than .net. just my :2 cents:

I bought www.stickybox.net and put a bid in on stickybox.com but dont think Ill get it, cause he does a fair amount of traffic on it, even though its an ancient looking site.
