How did you figure this out? One time license fee for aWiz goes up to $349 - Carma costa $150 a month or $3500 to buy not to speak of the $500 setup fees. NO offence to Carma at all they have great software.

You get what you pay for - both in product and support.

I recommend MAS from Mansion Productions, then again, I am biased - but talk to people, try out demos from all companies and get references. The price you pay for a good CMS the first time is very well worth it over time if you are serious about your venture.

:2 cents: :thumbsup

BOSS1 03-27-2007 07:30 PM

Anyways I think ill buy some russians to piece something really nice together for me..unless i get offered something reasonable...since none of the companies have some innovative features I was going to use anyway.

Sarah_Jayne 03-28-2007 03:28 AM

I keep asking but body answers ..how easy is Awiz when you are running more than one site and don't know much about scripts?

jscott 03-28-2007 03:31 AM

The hardest part of awiz is figuring out the templates and setting up a site for the first time, adding others is easy. You just have to take the time to learn it like everything else.
I don't know about others, but I do know I'm not hemorrhaging cash every month either. They also have good support, (nothing like Mansion or Toomuchmedia I'm sure, but good nonetheless) and will set things up for you reasonably cheap so you don't have to worry about it.
Ask them to send you the manual before you buy, to see for yourself how hard it is, or I have it if you want. Cheers
Just my :2 cents:

doyou have a lot of experience setting up Awiz? if so, would you ever consider being paid to show someone else? LOL...

MissMina 03-28-2007 11:03 PM

CARMA is like 150.00 a month and you don't own it and AWIZ is like what 350.00 to own it. I've had CARMA not using it anymore. I'm going to give AWIZ try.. Anyone else use AWIZ?? If so any good?

nata25 03-31-2007 12:59 AM

Actually if someone has a hardships with templates, aWIZ support makes complete templates integration during 1-2 workday just for $50.
Or even simpler: you can flick through the Manual and say what modules/features you wish to have on the site. In such case complete development and integration of templates takes a few days and costs $180, although just a pure design work costs more in the majority of places... Many samples of design quality, as well as many clients' impressions may be found on aWIZ site:

FezBucks 03-31-2007 06:41 AM

markz08 03-31-2007 06:59 AM

bump for that...

johnuk 03-31-2007 07:34 AM

Does aWiz or any of the others manage your preview area as well?

I want something to add the latest update to the preview section but then also calculate which preview pages/models are being clicked the most and push them to the front or just below the latest update.

Anyone know which CMS does this?

aWIZ supports on external (splash/tour) pages translation of the following members area's items:
1) Any number of "Last updates" with up to 9 icons per set;
2) Site news
3) Models database with personal bio-pages and previews of all sets of each model (as icons);
4) Content, sets' and models' counters;
5) Separated external pages, where will be selected only previews of updates from specified categories;
6) Separated external pages, where will be selected only previews of updates from specified periods;

MAS is worth every cent !

aachua 04-01-2007 06:19 AM

aWIZ, because features, quality of script and support are just incredible for such cheap price!

Gerco 04-01-2007 08:43 AM

MAS is pretty hardcore. I have it for my site currently. It does what it's designed to but can be very daunting for someone with no real HTML experience. You will most likely need to have it professionally installed by them, and most likely also pay to have them do the entire template for you. their designs are very good and very expensive, so know that going in. I have also seen Site Depth in action. Another great CMS. www.sitedepth.com The guy over there are very attentive, cost of the programs 599 installed, and they will do custom integration if you need it also. Sitedepth doesn't have it's own template designers so you will need your own, but intergration is very simple. In playing with it I have my first test members area up in less than an hour. MAS i think is over kill for a single site. MAS does have a very in depth 2257 module, which is something to think about if your shooting your own stuff etc. I have never seen Carma, so I have no opinion.

milkit 04-01-2007 08:48 AM

i use sitedepth and love it. makes my job easier

SkeetSkeet 04-01-2007 08:49 AM
