FACT 3: If youre bored, time always goes slowly... so older people should remain bored to make time pass normally?

WRONG. If you're bored, you can easily kill your time, even by posting on GFY. And then time flies fast again, even though nothing changes in your personal life.

once again - if you get older, time flies faster

if you're 19 year old then 1 year makes 5% of your life so far... so it feels quite long

when you are 38, then 1 year equals only 2.5% of your life....

Yes, kinda logical.

When you are four, a year represents a quarter of your life.

When your are forty, a year is a fortyeth of your life.

Therefore the years seem to fly past quicker the older we get, since they represent a smaller and smaller fraction of our experience.

So get out there, enjoy and make the most of it!

FACT: Time stays constant and never speeds up nor slows down unless you can reach the speeds of light...

FACT: Time seems to go faster the less we manage it. As a child, you have structure such as a bed time, school time, recess time, lunch time.... as an adult, you have less chance to think about time and thus, it seems to pass you by at a quicker rate.

As you get older, you start to catch up in age to your parents.. If you are 1 and your mother is 20 you are 1/20th her age.. but when you are 20 and she is 40.. you do the math :)

I think if you do the same things all the time, time flies. (Because it seems like you live the same day over and over) If you shake it up and try to keep experiencing new things and getting new input into your brain, it goes slower, because it doesn't seem like the days 'blur' together as one.

Interesting observation

Actually a good topic of discussion here.
People are always saying "I cant waste time on that stuff ect"....

This is the way I look at it.......
The older we get the more it does seem to go by faster and faster, how bout this one then?
OK so lets say the average age is 60.....
Minus the first 5 years due to infancy cause you cant walk or speak.
Now your down to 55 years of possible quality life left.
Your at age 5 now
Minus the next say 7 years cause you werent allowed to go venture out too far without your rents just like school, friends house ect....
Now your down to 48 years of possible quality life left.
Your at age 12 now
Minus the next say 6 years because your not an adult yet and cant really do what you want.
Now your down to 42 years of possible quality time left.
Your at age 18 now and you can do pretty much what you want but your still not 21.
Minus the next say 3 years of anxiously waiting till the big day.
Now your down to 39 years of possible quality time left.
Your now at age 21..conrats to you if you made it this far.:banana
now split up the remaining 39 years in segments of ten years cuase thats how most have been programmed to think.

Hey now your 30.....Now your 40.......Shit man now your 50 over the "hill"as they say....and BLAM then it hits that your suddenly 60!
If you make it this far try to enjoy whats left as you sink back into a child like state of being......try not to poop your pants alot, your old and grey, your skin tears easily and you cant eat spicey foods, sex is just non existant ect, ect ,ect......

But sure you can wear your blue blockers to the mall everyday and do the morning marathon......:thumbsup
OK heres the kicker now cut everything in half for sleeping, eating, and bathing.
These are essentials and now your only down to a few years of possible time.....Now with all that said you can see that time is a very valuable object to human existence.....
Your possible quality time should be spent wisely dont argue, dont fight,be good to thy neighbor, dont waste to much time reflecting on how life was in the past just learn from your mistakes and move on.
Enjoy what you have and consider yourself lucky to have it.It is truly a gift from GOD.
Dont walk in front of moving cars and dont eat yellow snow.
Cause life is here today and gone tomorrow.

this is true. that's why when you say drive somewhere new it always seems longer than when you drive back.

I seem to be always doing that recently....

over-analyzing things etc

more thinking than acting... :Oh crap

time to change it

I don't think this is quite right, it's not like time suddenly changes in a snap as you reach the speed of light, it's just that our normal maximum speeds (eg 800km/hr in a jet) are so small relative to the speed of light that they have virtually nil effect. What was it about the twin astronauts, with one travelling at speed in space for a while? They age at different rates... or something. :winkwink:

BVF 05-20-2007 07:24 AM

yes time does go by fast...it started for me once I turned 18..
