My boyfriend didn't seem to enjoy my "We're having a baby" announcement
 

A little bit ago one of the many bald eagles that live around my house was flying across the backyard with a big stick. I kept an eye on him to see where exactly he was going and indeed there is a nest being built right where I can see it from my dining room table. I'm so excited. I'm so lucky to be able to watch all this while working.

Question... the pics I've tried to take of them never turn out good enough. I can physically see their white heads and tails from here but my pics from my little casio exilm make it look way far away.

Any ideas? I need a new camera to be able to catch all this. What's the newest best thing out there that is still automatic somewhat. I'm kinda camera retarded.

Well after the snip snip, if you announce to him you're having a baby, the first thing that comes to mind isn't the best thing. Especially after coming back home from a webmaster convention, lol.

Lucky you... I would love to have a bald eagle around my house :)

Try a digital SLR with a nice zoom lens. A tripod may help prevent blurry pictures in some lighting / exposure scenarios.
