Hello me again I would like to feed you all some food for thought in this thread of of yet another "I like to think of off the wall shit"

This one has to do with 2257 folks.....

Yes I know what most of you are thinking by now,Oh god not another 2257 thread well this one is a little different it is one of many off the wall threads I have made and there are more to come in order to bring humor to this board.

Your thinking this new law on 2257 might not go through and it might get tied up in court for a few more years?

To those of you who are aware of 2257 and its entirety have you ever wondered why they chose depictions made after November 1, 1990 of actual sexually explicit conduct?

Why not 1989,88,42,23 ect?

Also what if this law goes into effect and everyone complies and all is hunky dory right???:thumbsup

Much like a car Because you have to REGISTER the vehicle it therefore becomes GOVERNED by Where it lives.(in this case where it was originally filmed,every depiction since November 1,1990)

Like cars every time a car in the U.S. is sold it is taxed.

Why is this so?
If it is taxed once then why twice? Why pay a tax on something over and over and over for each instance?:Oh crap
Even if it is a private sale once the U.S. gov gets there hands on something as useful as a car to tax forget it you can sell it 100 times over to as many different people you want to and never get out of paying a tax on it for each and every time sold!

Now apply that formula to one porn movie:Oh crap

Also apply this into reality and try to see why they might be so interested in porn in the first place!

Could this be some underlining reasoning behind the November,1 1990 thing?

What if every single movie that was shot within the U.S. borders since they have clearly announced November 1,1990 was in fact Anchored to the U.S. giving that it was already filmed here in the first place!

Now think of how much tax revenue the U.S. gov could generate from this!

I wage to bet this is what they are shooting for here in this industry and thats what they are trying to do.

Is organize the records into a gov data base as to use for there own greedy purpose!

And whats worse is that they are making people do the documentations for them.

Yes I understand that but do they have to pay a tax for EACH DEPICTION everytime it is sold?
If so then what about the grounding of U.S. made content dating from now back to November,1 1990 if it is used outside the U.S. is it taxed?
As of now I dont think it is I could be wrong on this though.
I.E. Lets say your in germany and thats where you run your bizz and you are a secdondary producer and you sell your content to someone else say in Egypt if it is a U.S. made film do you pay a tax?
I would say no and if you do its not a tax to the U.S. gov in this instance what I am saying is that any content shot in the U.S. on or after November,1 1990 would be property of the U.S. government Via sanction 2257 and therefore be subject to a tax payed in full to the U.S. government only.

On the other side of the coin getting back to cars if you sell a car outside the U.S Im pretty sure it is exempt of any tax to the U.S. government.
However this is not a car Im talking about I just used that as an analogy Porn under 2257 would be in fact a governed object.

18USC2257 is the law there is nothing to pass. 18USC2257 is not retroactive it has been the law for some time. It has been to court several times and thanks to the Bush Admin enforcement is now funded. I would not expect any further reprieves from inspections they are ongoing or enforcement they are using it as a plea bargain tool already. Expect indictments prior the the next US presidential election.

This is highly unlikely I hate to bring you the bad news but it will never go away there are only two political parties in the U.S. and Ill put money on yet another republican in office this next time around.
The war is far from over in Iraq and will not be left to a democrate as it was last time in gulf war 1 and look what happened on 911 because of the lax way things were handled while Clinton played like a child with his saxaphone at the motels he frequented.
