Buzz, just a quick comment: You understand who runs the majority of the adult industry in Japan, right? That trying to run an adult business without their "help" would be a very, very big insult to their honor?

Im there about 1 month a year or so normally. Not really something you want to mess with unless its VERY lowkey kind of stuff.

What if it's just online adult webmaster stuff? Maybe he's not talking about setting up shop in the country.

Yup running an adult business in Japan requires a little 'networking' but it is not out of the question... Been there done that. There are easier ways to make money in the Asian niche...

If you plan on running a website, you should be ok. But, if you are planning on shooting content your going to have to biz with the Yakuza. The Yakuza runs the porn scene in Japan. Well they have their hands on everything but porn is entirely their domain.
