Serious Question: Why didn't the Power Rangers just start in Megazord Mode?
 

They always had to eventually use Megazord Mode to defeat their enemy. Why even bother fighting as separate Dinozords?

They had a strategy. Fight up until the last moment and BAM hit em with the Megazord. The enemy doesn't expect this and is overcome.

If they're in Megazord Mode the whole time the enemy is more prepared and will call for appropriate backup. You can't just show your full potential right away.

um.. probably cos it's more entertaining the way they did it.. if they win straightaway then what about the rest of the show?

As for the power rangers and voltron, the evildoers knew the full potential of their robots after the very first episode. Fact is they never had a monster big enough to take em out. So why pull out the big guns until you really need to.
