i've heard this said by so many released offenders it's scary.

I feel these restrictions are outrageously stupid. Sure, don't let them live next to a school, but seriously, the more we alienate them, the more their going to be who they were

I agree...I've said this on a number of times...you corner somebody giving them no other options...they will coose the path of least resistance.

These guys get out of prison and there are no homes...no jobs...their faces online and people stalking them...harassing them...why behave like a normal person when you are still imprisoned.

I also don't agree with these new state laws where when these guys get out of prison they are automatically sent to a mental hospital indefinitely saying they are unfit to live among citizens...if they can't argue innocent by mental defect during their case...then how can you punish them for having a "mental defect" after they are released from prison?

I know there are going to be the "hang them by their nuts" crowd in here soon...but the simple fact is these guys did their time as prescribed by law...don't like the sentencing...then try to get the laws changed.

Exactly. I don't one living next to me, but if if we as a society ar going to lety them out then we have to gie them a chance to be a part of it.

Fact is I could actually murder someone serve my time and get out. I don't have to register on some publically available list, so my neighbors would have no clue I took a life. I'm not restricted to where I live. Same thing if I was a drug dealer. I think murder and drug dealing are just as big a threat to society yet these people are given 2nd chances.

Now one might point out that a murderer is less likely to re-offend than child molester. Yeah tell that to the victims of Dahmer, Bundy, Gacy and about 100other serial killers I could spout off.

Well you could take that a step further...you could walk up to a kid at Wal-Mart and beat the living shit out of him serve your time and that's it...or you could touch his butt and that's all and the state will follow you for your lifetime.

Too much emotion involved in these types of crimes...it makes people including those in charge of enforcing and prosecuting the laws to make bad decisions...over the last few years in the news I've seen a priest go to jail for 15 years for putting his hand down the back of a boy's swim trunks and copping a feel of his ass (that same priest was murdered later on in prison)...while a father who had vaginal sex with his daughter got probation.
