Mexican Telecom Genius Now 2nd Richest Man In World

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...ow_article= 1

This man is a phenomenon. The amount of money he's made
in just the past year is staggering alone. He's beaten
Warren Buffett and is only $3 billion short of beating Bill Gates.

With the way he's making his money he'll beat Gates by the end
of the year.

The Mexican economy is stronger than people suspected. Due
primarily with tens of billions being sent there from the U.S..

No wonder no one wants to handle the immigration problem. It's making
money hand over fist for both sides of the border.

Jensen 04-12-2007 04:35 AM

he should really spend a couple of millions fixing his body.. christ

salesman 04-12-2007 05:04 AM

AmigoPorn 04-12-2007 05:35 AM

He's not a telecom genius, he admitted of being afraid of his own computer, he's just a great business man. I think he started with railroad companies. Now he owns the mexican telephone monopoly Telemex. He's also the owner of Compusa, Bestbuy and many others

Let's cut the crap :winkwink: He owns Mexican telecom and runs a monopoly which is ripping folks off left, right and center :-)

Apart for selling "legal drugs" - telecom companies (especially monopolies) are one of the most profitable enterprises on the face of the earth.

True the Mexican economy is fairly healthy after decades of shit - they now trade with around over 40 relevant countries and have a reasonable trade balance.

Immigration obviously helps, and it is substantial - tho not the main reasons for a change of economy - there are a lot more companies operating/exporting from Mexico than in the past.

I might want to add:
It is true that free trade has contributed to the growth of the mexican economy, but this wealth has not been distributed to all of its citizens. Wealth has been concentrated in few people like Slim. Today there are more poor mexicans then ever. The gap between the rich and the poor is wider then ever.

Two very interesting quotes:

"giving Slim the equivalent of roughly seven percent of Mexico's annual economic output, according to Forbes."

and

" He has derided Gates and Buffett for giving away so much of their wealth, reportedly saying: "Poverty isn't solved with donations," according to Forbes."

Bill gates does not give to charity because he's a good guy. Let's not forget he runs a software monopoly. He gives to charity to buy people's hearts'. It's just another business decision for him.

To me the biggest philanthropist is Bono. He's done so much with so little and he does not expect anything in return.

you can get EVERYTHING even if you look like an alien

Might I add:

Pimp them and get richer.

Y'know when you make that much money that fast you're on the radar and what happens next is you get investigated. Not because there's a suspicion of criminal intent, but because the competition has paid the authorities enough to help them spy on you.

Interesting thoughts:

""When you live for others' opinions, you are dead. I don't want to live thinking about how I'll be remembered."

"He has derided Gates and Buffett for giving away so much of their wealth, reportedly saying: "Poverty isn't solved with donations. Building businesses, did more for society than "going around like Santa Claus."

You're fucking kidding me, right?

Bill Gates gives away a ton of cash to help poor people all over the world.

Bono loves being in the spotlight. Live8 is bullshit that does nothing to help anyone as long as the African governments are still so willing to slaughter their own people and put them in shallow graves. OTHER AFRICAN LEADERS won't even condemn the death Mugabe is causing in his own country.

Bill Gates has undoubtedly saved thousands of lives with his immunization programs for the 3rd world.

Hitler could have said the same thing
