Don't you miss all the functionality of outlook and what exactly is the issue that you are having?

I use FF and never look at IE but do use outlook 2003 exclusively.

What makes Thunderbird better?

MrCain 04-12-2007 08:50 AM

Thunderbird.

Damian_Maxcash 04-12-2007 09:00 AM

What they said - but be careful with the junk filter - because of what we do it does filter a lot of affiliate prog emails and stuff.

Sarah_Jayne 04-12-2007 09:07 AM

I never use spam filters for that reason..just don't click on things I don't know.

Humpy Leftnut 04-12-2007 09:10 AM

Spam Arrest saved my life.

I have an MSN eamil and it does not work with it. I had to go pay to make it work. Fine i will go pay and then I heard they are not going to do more outlook. No idea what the replacement is or if they have something else in mind. But why runa program the owners are killing off?

As well as it hangs a lot on my machne. not sure why.

I recently installed Mozilla Lightning for calendar functionality. It's not as good as Outlook but is usable.

Whoa...Eudora. Haven't thought of it in years, but never had a problem with it, either. Still around. How about that.

drjones 04-12-2007 03:18 PM

Try Evolution. Open source, free, pretty much becoming the defacto open source email client for most people using linux. Should be an easy transition from outlook. It's even inter operable with exchange. They now have a windows port.
