We are now fully inegrated with MediaKey providing you with a mechanism to integrate our billing system with MediaKey DRM-technology to easily enable Pay-Per-View sales of DRM-protected video files.

How does PPV work with Password-By-Phone.com ?

It's quite simple, after encrypting your video files with MediaKey's DRM software your video files will display a payment page before they can be played. Users must obtain a license which limits them to a number of plays or other options you decide after you package the files.

You can choose to use multiple Authentication Modules. One for PPV-sales and one for members who already exist in your member area. For this you will be required to provide a URL to your member area through which we can validate membership information (username & password).

The PPV option is the standard PbP mechanism obtaining Passwords heard over the phone. You can choose either one or both modules after you have encrypted your video files and also setup new or different options at a later point of time without having to re-encrypt the video files again. This is useful if you offer promotional material that you want to track the popularity of. When you feel the time is right you can change the business model on the fly from promotional to billable if you like.

What does it cost?

Simple, because of the integrated service from MediaKey and PbP the encryption software and the use of the system to issue media licenses using the PPV billing module is covered by a nominal fee, that is subtracted from your usual PbP payouts. PbP will be paying this transaction fee to MediaKey on your behalf to make the admin convenient for you. :thumbsup
