OMG, I remember when MTV was videos only in grade school. I used to watch the hills, but when the ugly, greedy, snake like Spencer (Heidi Montags BF) came on the show I quit watching MTV all together.

What is the difference between 1 and 2?

Well, originally 2 started out as playing just music, but things changed and it's now pretty much like 1.

I wish they'd bring back MTVX, I'm not sure if anyone remembers the short time that was around, but it had all rock/metal videos.

I believe that was channel 140 on my digital cable before it became MTV Jamz-yo or something like that.

MTV died when they pulled the plug on headbanger's ball.

Doesnt MTV just fire everyone every so many years and keep altering its format so it always stays in tune with their target age demographic?
