Anyone been trying the Lord of the Rings Online beta??
 

I am just installing it now to see what it's like. I really have no time for these games, but LOTR is a great story, so I'm curious.

Anyone been trying it? Opinions?

Ok, so it sucks... they haven't put much thought into it I don't think. The fights are horrible, there's no way to know where you are going or where you are supposed to go, the quests are "finish now or finish later"... no in between there. You can't just randomly do it while out and about. No mouse navigation, it's all done by W,A,S,D keys... and you can't just click on something on the screen to interact.. you have to be close enough to it first and facing it. Which can be a tad rough to do with a moving target when you're navigating with the keyboard. Turning is slow :(

The map is massive, I will give them that. But if you can't figure out where you should go, how are you supposed to explore any of it?

i cant play fucking rpg.... i have seen games like WOW and FF11 ruins lives!!

I tried it out a month or so ago, it was REALLY lame. The only thing I liked about it was how you could really play the musical instruments to a certain extent... I heard somebody playing the Zelda tune rofl!

Also u sure about the mouse? :|

Do you play battle for middle earth online? Not new but I love it
