Are there any films due out soon that you are actually looking forward to?

I am sort of looking forward to the new Spiderman but other than that I can't think of anything that I know for sure that I will be soon shelling out ticket money to see ...well, the Transformers movie but that will be more being dragged to it than going because I am the one excited about it.

While I do want to see that, I don't have high expectations for it.

Either they really make some big changes somehow (and disappoint loyal Simpson fans) or they leave it as is and disappoint people who want more than just a longer episode.

If it was set 500 or even 1k years in the future I could maybe go for it. But FIFTY? We can barely travel into outer space without fucking up, we're going to have 'mastered' space travel in fifty years and have the ability to restart dying stars? GUH! I'd rather sit through fifty more lame ass asteroid movies before I ever go see something as ridiculous as Sunshine.

Maaatt 04-13-2007 07:31 AM

Sunshine should be fun to watch... then I'm waiting for Avatar, the next James Cameron movie, but only due in 2009....

Hostel 2
28 Weeks Later
Halloween
Transformers
The Poughkeepsie Tapes - http://www.p-tapesmovie.com/Site/Home.html

I personally can't stand most of the hype around the Big Name movies comin out, but I'll eventually see Spidey 3 and Simpsons. The last Fantastic Four sucked, don't see this one being better.

Is it an alternate universe setting? Or is it based 50 years after current day tech? I can't really tell.

I just saw Hot Fuzz last night. That movie is laugh out loud hilarious. While I didn't think it was quite as good as Shawn of the Dead...it was still really good. I recommend this to anyone who likes to laugh.

crockett 04-13-2007 08:58 AM

Tranformers looks cool hope they don't fuck it up.. and I want to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean

For Larry the Cable Guys fans

Delta Farce

Down on his luck after losing his job and his girlfriend on the same day, Larry decides to join his neighbor, Bill (Bill Engvall), and his combat-happy buddy, Everett (DJ Qualls), for a relaxing weekend of drinking and target practice. But when the three hapless guys are mistaken for Army Reservists by the hard-nosed Sergeant Kilgrove (Keith David), they?re loaded onto an army plane headed for Fallujah, Iraq - and mistakenly ejected in a Humvee somewhere over Mexico.

I saw a preview for a movie called "1408" or something like that, coming out in May or June.. looks freaky. I think I will check it out.
