Just made another mainstream site.
Thought i would get your opinion's on the name/logo and all.

Going to add some features like blocking numbers and working on a way to reply to texts.

1. Write about how the system works (even if its fucking simple)

2. Write that you monitor all SMS that are being sent so people dont abuse this service and send threats to others (and show the visitors IP).

3. Write a little about yourself/company offering this

4. Write how people can give you links (help em out with the linkcode etc tec)

Hmm some solid ideas.. But the only problem is placement, i have a simple layout set up.. maybe ill work on a new layout for the site

Banthis, you need to change the background, dont go with white... :)

background color = put grey

logo and everything else = yellow

text = black

come online on icq banthis

and one more thing, let people know where they can use that system. can i use that in czech republic / eu? and on how many operators? and if i will add my number, how much spam i will get every day? or why is it free? now its like some nice looking "sms and phone number dump" ... :2 cents: anyway wish you luck for sure! :thumbsup

That sounds like a headache..

You need a picture which shows a few numbers in it and people have to write the numbers to verify it isnt some spambot or something else :)

Only 12 providers right now but i have list over over 200 which should cover 95% of the world it looks like heh. Only problem is it will make the page load slowly so im working on that. 0 Spam i should put that in and your numbers are safe.

put some ads up to sell ringtones ;)

Easy problem to solve. If you want to provide all the 200 operators this is how you do it.

1. You make a script which looks up where your visitor is coming from.
If your visitor comes from sweden then you load the swedish operators only.
Now, ofcourse there might be some swedish person who wants to send a sms outside sweden, but you add a button on the page where you can load all 200 operators if thats the case, but im sure thats less then 1% of the visitors.

2. Look what browser they are using (language).

3. Most important, cache the data.

I could.. but what if they want to send international?

Oh didnt finish the whole thing.. but yeah there are plenty of "slow" people out there who wouldnt see the button, get frustrated and leave.

you have a good idea, but in my country, i know its not country moving the bussiness, but here we have 3 operators, o2 (max 60chars per message with ocr), t-mobile (not possible from internet) and vodafone (760chars with ocr), so i think it will be useless here ... anyway wish you the best with that site in countries where it will have success :thumbsup

Actually t-mobile is one of the 12 providers i currently have up..

Added TOS and Privacy policy. So that should clear somethings up.. need to make it stand out more and i need to put up providers available somewhere

whats impossible, so i doubt this is working somewhere outside the us :2 cents:

1) Who are you?
2) That is a simple coding fix, that does not mean you cant go international? Your logic makes no sense. I need to add more providers to go more international.

2. i dont know where you live, but reason that you can sms in your country for free doesnt mean its around whole world the same! you will NOT send sms to t-mobile in czech republic, not even if you will add any script etc, nothing more to say ... the only way is expensive sms hw gateway or sms spoofing, whats illegal anywhere! :2 cents:

why?

because

are 2 different pages for google, you will divide your pagerank on 2 seperate pages, with the exact same content, send all your trafic to the other one

Update: Site received a lot more visitors than expected.
SMS Service TEMPORARILY down.
Right now i need a new host.

The set up now is temporary, the site needs it's own hosting plan or server heh
