Drudgereport.com Bulletin: Cell Phones Cause Of Bee Deaths

Okay this is scary shit.

The top headline at the Drudge Report is about cell phones being the cause of the mysterious honeybee deaths that have plagued the U.S..

If this is true, it means a major change in the way we do business on
this planet.

The story isn't uploaded yet but worth keeping an eye on.

Is wireless to blame here? what other, if any, detrimental effects
is this causing?

pocketkangaroo 04-14-2007 07:24 PM

Drudge is pretty right wing, so my guess it's just some headline to debunk global warming or something. I like his site and he is usually on top of the news, but he sometimes just throws up BS stories and gets a little too caught up in the right wing machine.

DOCTOR 30 04-14-2007 07:30 PM

Drudge is gay. How is he right-wing? That has totally confused me. Well until the latest Bush administration where everytime you turn around someone is being outted.

But Drudge is known for breaking major stories well before the mainstream. This story could rock the stock markets so stay tuned.

If it's determined that wireless is detrimental to living creatures then the way we do business is going to change drastically.

Uhm..... it's pretty well known that Drudge is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY much a right wing republican and his site always does more than just slant that way, it downright falls over?

He's not known for "breaking major stories first", he's known for "leaking shit fed to him from Republican political operatives" in hopes it makes major media outlets.

Where have you been?

As for bees and cellphones, I have no idea.........

Ace_luffy 04-14-2007 07:34 PM

thanks for the info.:)

You should listen to his radio show on Sundays. Sometimes it's real good and he gets a good guest or two. But he's a Republican and he posts a lot of untrue smear stuff against Democrats. Remember the "heckling of McCain" by the CNN reporter that no one had a source on and was later pulled because the video showed it never happened?

its both funny and tragic that people can't seperate entertainment from actual news reporting.

stickyfingerz 04-14-2007 07:53 PM

Al Gore is actually killing the bees to support his global warming agenda...

As posted, here's the story. It makes sense. Any insect or animal that uses certain magnetic navigation that these wavelengths can compromise these systems. What about larger animals, sea creatures?

If this is true and no way we can use wireless anymore it's gonna fuck up commerce like no tomorrow.

Yes, I know Matt's right-wing, that's not the surprise. It's how can someone who is right-wing also be gay? Isn't that like a conflict of interest since the right-wing is against homosexuality and lesbianism???

That's my question. Sort of defeats the purpose to be gay and support the group that wants you wiped off the face of the Earth.

Sorta like setting your own ass on fire and putting it out with gasoline.

Why did it start in the US last year and now is spreading to Europe? The cell phone theory does not make sense unless something new in frequencies was added in the US last year and in Europe this year???

Naa.. it's rather funny as this is going to be the next media scare war. Global Warming/Global Cooling/Ozone Layer/Pollution/No More Landfill Space/Over Population... just another in a long line of sensationalized bullshit.

Jon Clark - BANNED FOR LIFE 04-14-2007 09:10 PM

So no one thinks the fucked up weather we have had this year has anything to do with the bees dieing off?

That's the bottom line. Honeybees are primary source of pollination. People don't realize the importance of bees and bats. Without both we would all be dead in a few years.

Seeing that we're trying to move to a more ethanol based fuel source, a pollination problem could jeapoardize that.

If this is true we'll see the same thing in Europe, S. America and China and Japan.

it could be something like a change in frequency or something minor to adjust and not a major problem at all.

We'll have to wait and see.

Andrew Sullivan is a great example of a right wing gay.

Exactly. Bats are amazing at clearing out swarms of insects and parasites.

Not only that but bats also pollinate and their droppings are one of the major sources of fertilization of the soil on Earth.

Bats eat so many mosquitoes it's unfathomable.

Mind you, 400 million people contract malaria each year. 1-3 million die from it. If mosquitoes went unchecked we'd all be in some serious shit.

This bee thing is scary. If it's cell phone related we'll figure out what to do. Of course some psychopaths with financial interests will go into their routine about how paranoid all this is.

Reminds me of what happened when Krypton exploded.

Wake up, people: Cell phones cause cancer!

You can't hold a radioactive device up to your ear for hours on end and then store it in your pants front pocket and escape disease. Put away your cell phones.

I stayed away from cell phones like the plague.

There's a site called rense.com that has been touting the dangers of cell phones since day-one. No one believed him. Now he's looking more the reliable news site than mainstream news.

What about laptops and wireless networks? Any danger there?

Martin3 04-15-2007 05:55 AM

There's quit a few euro countries that have a much higher cell phone use rate per capita then the US. We're actually pretty low on the list. Seems if that was the cause it would have started there first.

Of course there could be a combination of many causes. Either way it is a pretty bad situation. A lot of people don't realize just how important bee's are to crops.

There are artificial pollination methods, so it's not exactly in of the world type stuff.

Although it would take some evidence to convince me of the cell phone angle all of the thing you cited above are causes to think about the impact of too many people on the biosphere. If you prefer to not think about it I guess it's alright since you probably can't do much about resolving it either.

If you are not capable of understanding that there are serious changes that will effect you and your children you are just fooling yourself.

CheneyRumsfeld 04-15-2007 06:20 AM

Massive bee deaths have been occurring essentially forever (since we have been mass 'cultivating' them). It comes and goes in cycles and will continue to do so. Massive CCD events are well known, although this one is more widespread than any before. One occurred just over a decade ago but not this severe -- the bee population has been on a steady decline (at least in America) since around 1971. That should be enough to disprove the ridiculous cell phone "findings" right there.
