Yeah I think right now that is one of the nicest ones, my local home theatre guy was trying to talk me into one. But I am going to hold off on buying one until the prices drop on the 1080p stuff.

I get the vizio 50" plasmas for $999, the pic is great and for the price you cant beat it

Pumba 04-15-2007 11:19 AM

Pioneer is quite fine.

side 04-15-2007 11:22 AM

ok thanks i think i will buy a pioneer plasma looks really good

cool1g 04-15-2007 12:30 PM

Pioneer Elite as noted is the best. make sure its the 'elite' line which is more expense than the regular models.

i personally have a panasonic 50" which i got for $2000 last thanksgiving and i've seen for $1,799 now....can't beat that one IMO - the Pioneers will run you $3500-$5000

Try the HP 42" Plasma from Best Buy. Good price, good picture, lots of hookups, included attachable speakers.

panasonic has 50" 1080p model you can get, I think its $3499-4499 ..

I havent had the chance to buy one yet, been looking at them at the local walmart and sears stores here in town, walmart definatly seems to be cheaper price wise.

Michaelious 04-15-2007 01:37 PM

Panasonic is generally a good make.

side 04-16-2007 01:55 PM

i think i will buy this http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products...7XD/index.html
it's HD-ready not full HD but less pricy that the best one

lot 04-16-2007 02:03 PM

I thought to buy Panasonic

atom 04-16-2007 02:19 PM

Panasonic and Pioneer were rated the top plasmas by conusmer reports. they rated picture, price, and durability. I wouldnt worry about 1080p. Still too much money, in the next year you will see it drop a lot.

Nardimus 04-16-2007 02:49 PM

plasmas suck
