Tell me which one you like better, ok?

2007, Bmw 335i, brand new - $45k

if you ask this question because you have to decide which one to buy you would have to give us/me more details of what you want from a car.

i would go for the m3

I want a good looking car + lots of power. As you can see both of the cars have both. The M3 is 333hp and the 335i is 300hp.

Rick Latona 04-22-2007 06:52 AM

Financially speaking, the M3 will lose less value over the next 2 years as it has already taken a big hit.

zabijaq 04-22-2007 06:54 AM

m3 m3 m3 m3

Buy M3 CSL. It got 363 HP if I'm not mistaken and is slightly sharper. My schoolmate got 1 & only CSL in my country (Slovakia CE) and it's freaky fast. He got it tweaked to 420HP and is planning compressor from Hamann to get some 550HP but his biz doesn't go that well so he must wait for a while.
Car had looks and awesome sound. If he put brick on the pedal, people are running of the way just hearing that sound. Seats are awesome, it's brutal car. He went few times scared to seller with some LEDs signalising problems and it was just low tire pressure & so problems but he didn't know what those control lights mean ;)
M3 CSL 2k3 -2k4 cost around 40-45k Euro at autoscout.de
And their is also M3 CSL lightweight with -200Kg (without rear seats, lightter case materials ....) and that beats totally standart CSL at racing circuit.

You also can't drive it in anything other than perfect conditions. They even warn you about it.

The M3 is a convertible so that may be a plus for you, but the new one is pretty fast and better looking IMO.

zabijaq 04-22-2007 07:25 AM

Nice Wiki stuff

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M3

M3 is premium model and CSL is special to this model.

King Adam 04-22-2007 07:29 AM

M3 would be my pick. Its more sporty and its a converty :)

zabijaq 04-22-2007 07:33 AM

My words ;)

But red would be better ;)

Sosa 04-22-2007 08:03 AM

I like the 335i better then the convertible

spideriux 04-22-2007 08:20 AM

M3 of course

X37375787 04-22-2007 08:25 AM

I'd go with the 335i. Newer engine, more comfortable and more extras. Looks tits, too.

But we can't compare factory PROMO pics & reallife. Try to imagine RED M3. And try to imagine real 2007 model, not with special metalise color.

Star 69 04-22-2007 08:29 AM

my vote for M3

fuzebox 04-22-2007 09:22 AM

Eassyyyyyy choice... M3. It went all downhill after the e46 too...

Dollarmansteve 04-22-2007 09:57 AM

335

Soft-top vert's are lame. Plus the '07 has a factory warranty.

VicD 04-22-2007 09:59 AM

M3 ofcourse

Basic_man 04-22-2007 10:03 AM

I'd go for the BMW M3, looks more "sport" than the 2007 335i :)

qwe 04-22-2007 10:11 AM

335... but be prepared to wait 3-4 months for it MINIMUM, since there's a very high demand for it and dealers don't got many allocaitons

strobi 04-22-2007 11:12 AM

335i for sure, really like them alot!! And 300bhp is more than enough ;)

xlogger 04-22-2007 04:49 PM

votes are even atm...lol

zabijaq 04-22-2007 05:26 PM

Yes

That is called SOME ADVICE.

IMHO You should take M3, it's fast as You wanted. HP ain't all important, thats what some people here don't know. CL65 AMG has 612 HP and Mercedess SLR has 612HP, guess what is faster.

See M3 in red and You know who wins ;)

Tryme 04-22-2007 05:59 PM

If you want a fast car get the m3, otherwise get the newer car

tical 04-22-2007 06:03 PM

get the 335i

#1 its newer
#2 seriously, what is 33 extra HP gonna do
#3 you dont want to be the guy w/ the "old" m3 when a new m3 pulls up next to ya ;)
#4 the ladies will never have been in the NEW bmw... but they've seen the old m3's all over, be unique
#5 you get a better warranty im sure
#6 if the chick wanted you because you had an m3, chances are i already fucked her & she's used goods

btw, I have a 2005 m3 and its definitely a nice car... but if i was in your position i'd get the new 335

woj 04-22-2007 06:15 PM

You probably won't notice the difference between them anyway... so go for a brand new 335.... but since you probably think m3 is cooler, just buy a M3 tag off of ebay for $20... all your clueless buddies and all the girls around you won't know any better, and you save yourself 10 grand :thumbsup

ePorn 04-22-2007 07:52 PM

Having a 3 series myself, i'd rather go for the 5 series. Not just because it's the newer vehicle but it also gives you the standards you're looking for. More credibility, etc.
If you want something open you can always get a BMW bike or something small like a Z3 to have fun with, but for an everyday/business vehicle, i'd rather go for distinction/sophistication than the sports looks.

aybecker 04-22-2007 07:55 PM

i think the m3 is going to be the better purchase cause let's be honest, 335i's resell like shit, m3 is in a different league.

How did you reach the conclusion that a car that came out this year is reselling like shit?

Paraskass 04-22-2007 08:02 PM

2007, Bmw 335i, brand new - $45k is my pick.

Or an M3 non convertable. Convy's suck ass.

qwe 04-22-2007 08:56 PM

I gatta get 1 thing straight.... 335 is 300hp on paper, but it's a known fact they dyno around 285-300hp TO THE WHEELS, which is around 330-340HP STOCK, plus they have HUGE amount of torqe, way more then m3... and it's NOT slower then m3, it actually pulls on e46 M3's.... there's a chip you can buy (vishu or AA tuning chip) for around $1300 that will add extra 80-100hp/tq just by remapping ecu, and you can remove it within 10 minutes if you need to take your car to dealership for warranty work...

wyldworx 04-22-2007 11:22 PM

on its quality aspect, the m3. But it is always nice to own a NEW car.

Pornwolf 04-22-2007 11:32 PM

Unless you are a 16y/o trustfundian you will look like a punk in anything less than a 5 series in NYC.

I know your history. I know you have balls. Put em on the table man! ;)

335 beats 5 series hands down in terms of looks IMHO ...

Lykos 04-23-2007 03:05 AM

BMW is BMW:)

Auh 04-23-2007 04:15 AM

the new one looks better.

Rui 04-23-2007 04:29 AM

Just reminded for some reason about the thread were you said you saw a new model M3 in a local dealership a few months ago, when the concept wasn't even out....(and you got massively owned)

so for that reason I say don't even go for the 335i....get a 320i and a M kit and your good to go and prolly ain't going to know the difference :)

TheDatingNetworkCameron 04-23-2007 04:38 AM

Wait for the new M3 coming out this fall. 420 HP

TheDatingNetworkCameron 04-23-2007 04:39 AM

BTW i currently have the 2005 M3 exactly as shown in that picture its a great car. Alot of fun.

Yeah, just sit in it and hear the SOUND. Mainstream models won't be that cool even if much never.

http://www.topgear.com/content/tgonbbc2/laptimes/thestig

You got M3 CSL there.

Farang 04-23-2007 05:52 AM

I've got the Dinan exhaust sounds amazing. People think a Lambo or Ferrari are coming when they hear it.

GeorgeM 04-23-2007 06:29 AM

335i is better i think ....and new :thumbsup

nico-t 04-23-2007 07:35 AM

the new 335, it looks way way better than the older bmw models, plus the m3 is a convertible... and that is quite gay. If you get the m3 go with a hardtop, those older model convertible bmw's look a little girlie to me.
