Calgary Flames - If you can't beat them, beat them up!!!
The NHL gave Calgary Flames backup goaltender Jamie McLennan a five-game suspension while fining head coach Jim Playfair and the team a total of $125,000.
The fine comes in the wake of actions late in Saturday's playoff game against Detroit. McLennan received a match penalty for slashing Detroit's Johan Franzen in the midsection with 2:59 remaining in the game. It was one of four penalties the Flames were assessed for aggressive and illegal stick use in the closing minutes of the Red Wings' 5-1 win. Playfair was fined $25,000 and the team $100,000 for the multiple infractions. NHL disciplinarian Colin Campbell said the coach and the organization must be held accountable for the players' actions. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a89...Hansons45c.jpg ADG Webmaster |
Detroit was interfearing with the goaltender the entire fucking game, detroit losers deserved a chop.
With that chop you know the refs are going to be watching the detroit players pinching on on the crease twice as much now. |
