For some reason I decided to take a closer look at your site, and have come to the conclusion that you are clueless when it comes to press releases and the value they provide to the company putting out the release.
Case in point, your review of the Gamelink press release. I will be honest and admit that I did not read the entire release, as the point of my visit was to review your site, not the press releases found on it. So yeah, there may be grammatical errors, or misused punctuation, but you seem to miss the value/benefit of press releases. Your questions prove this to me.: 1. Does it announce an exciting event? 2. Does it have the ability to generate wealth? 3. Will it simplify one?s life? 4. Does it address a previously unfulfilled need? 5. Does anyone really care? Press releases hold a lot more value than just announcing exciting events, or providing a means for others to generate wealth, etc, etc, they provide an excellent means of link building. Now, I realize that your site will probably never generate income, or get any kind of decent search engine ranking, but there are companies out there that do rely on the Internet and search engines to generate income. The smart companies realize that a major part of SEO is link building, and one way, incoming links from respected sites (such as a press release site like PRadult, PRWEB, XBiz, AVN or Klixxx) can do a lot to make this occur. You scoff at the idea that someone might use GameLink and Gamelink in the same PR. Personally, if I wrote it I would have included Game Link as one of the options. You never know what search phrase a person might use. I realize that it it is easier to tear something down than to build something up, but you should at least have a clue before you begin either. |

is that really necessary? jesus. if you fit in, you don't have to try to fit in. if you have to try to fit in... it means you don't fit in. endless, nonsensical, spammy posts about nothing isn't going to grow your "business" |

The quality of the press release is a reflection upon the company it represents. This is the downside to press releases that so many companies do not understand. One significant point that I would offer to all companies is this: You are always promoting. In creating a press release, the writer must keep in mind that every paragraph, word, and punctuation represent the company. I maintain that using various spellings of a company's name within one press release is not professional. It reflects poorly on the company, especially their identity. A company should have consistent branding. If a company is concerned about an alternate spelling, there is a better solution: Submit a press release using "Our Company" to AVNOnline, "OurCompany" to Xbiz, and "Ourcompany" to Adult Chamber. Use the same spelling consistently within each press release. This will apply higher relevance to the targeted spelling in each version of the press release, instead of diluting the press release with multiple versions of the company name. |
and this fucking guy... a jackass that acts as if writing a press release is like writing a new book of the bible. ... then not so cleverly installs wordpress, using the default theme and cuts and pastes other peoples work to it, thinking he is disguising copyright infringement as a site dedicated to press releases as if anyone really gives a shit. its like being passionate about collecting Hello Kitty backpacks and disecting Hello Kitty backpack theory and pontificating on Hello Kitty backpack practical uses in the new millenium.
its hard to believe that you are actually serious. you are like a parody of a parody of a parody.... thats gone so far past lunacy that it almost, kinda makes sense for a moment, until the reader snaps back into his senses and realizes how idiotic it is to even waste time contemplating the issue. |

PRGraveyard,
I don't know you, nor am I sticking up for you or dogging the guys in this thread, but you gotta understand that GFY is full of haters and people talking out of their own ass. They hate anything different or out of their circle of comfort that they are used to. They would rather spend their time telling others what they are doing wrong instead of focusing on their own projects. Just do your thing. |
