video editor looking for work
 

Hey folks.
I've worked as a video capture/editor/encoder for the last 7 years with Newdig/Homegrownvideo. I just moved from Orange County up to Los Angeles- San Fernando Valley, Chatsworth, to be exact. Alas, couldn't keep the old job- 75 mile commute was killing me.

Problem is, while people say I'm now living in the Porn Mecca of the USA and shouldn't have any trouble finding work, I can't find any job offers at the mainstream sites (hotjobs, dice.com, monster).

Can anybody recommend any online resources for finding work in video editing/encoding?

How much you charge for editing a DVD, 5 scenes + bonus footage?

Thought I would mention it in case someone would like to nab him through GFY. We are sorry to see him go.

Vivid pays editors 15 bucks an hour. I'm sure on their big budget stuff the director does the editing but for their grunt editors, that's all they make.
