Remember Slip and Slides?
Does anyone remember playing on these as a kid? I just got done having to show my son how it's done.....water is a bit on the cold side and I bet if you add a little soap to the water you could go fast.....Hmmm....just a thought :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

So many bruises but so much fun. Just make sure it's not hiding any tree roots or rocks!!

Yeah I'm 5'9" now so it's a little harder to "slip and slide" so to speak than it was when I was a kid.....I'm not as close to the ground anymore as I quickly found out today....ouch.....I think I ended up with a few more bruises today than my son did.....but it was fun....I think we may try the soap tomorrow....we'll keep you posted on that one :)
Also, we're visiting my parents....I figured they would come home and yell at me because I put it in the front yard....right where the grass was nice and green :) LOL |
yup i remeber the good ol slip and slip.Thats going back to the early 80's? something like that..
|
slip and slides were awesome, brings back memories.

Do this, it's cheaper and more fun. Go get one of those industrial sized rolls of visqueen. keep is wet and soaped. You can cut it to any size. Remember... KEEP IT WET AND SLIGHTLY SOAPY!! Nothing is more fucked up then running full speed and trying to slide your fat ass onto a piece of dry plastic.

Yeah, unless dad forgot to check for rocks. Then I call it "Slip and Bleed from the Anus."
|
This thread is so funny, I was somewhere earlier today and I saw the Slip and Slides the kids have nowadays, This big huge thing that comes with its own compressor and its a huge water slide and you end up in a pool of water..l all for like 150 bucks...Its like a damn water slide from a water park.
Damn, we had to make our own slip and slides out of glad trash bags. These kids have it made nowadays...lol. I think we did have that long yellow one time. |
|
Yeah I remember those. They were fun to slide on. That would probably make a good photo shoot for some models.
|
Heh, used to have a blast on those. We set one up one time to slide into a pool by sliding across the grass and bricks... didn't feel so good at the end. :upsidedow

i love the old slip n slide from the 60's - they were so much fun, even with the occasional bruises. and there was almost always room to set one up, unlike the really cool one in the pic above.
