Does anyone really celebrate May Day?
 

I actually got a message from someone saying "Happy May Day"

Does anyone really celebrate this? Are the special holdiday cards for the occasion? Is this yet another excuse for me to break out the BBQ grill equipment?

If it involves me getting presents than yes I celebrate all those holidays.

I sure don't, but someone today was fucking pissing me off. I was out picking up my crab traps in my boat, and some fucking idiot on the CB Radio kept saying "May Day, May Day" I was like, fuck dude I know it's May Day, shut the fuck up already. Annoying as hell.

There's a huge Techno party in Germany called the mayday. They for sure celebrate!

Is that the one where the kids dance around pole with ribbons coming off it...to make patterns? I remember doing that when I was little...so much fun!:)

Long time ago russians celebrated it. May Day was an important official holiday in the Soviet Union, celebrated with elaborate popular parade in the centre of the major cities. The biggest celebration was traditionally organized on the Red Square, where government leaders were greeting the crowds form the Lenin's Mausoleum.
But now its just a reason for rest :)

yeah..may has special holidays and occasions in different countries...like philippines, may1-labor day....every second sunday of may - mother's day...
