How Important is Writing to Adult Blogs, in your opinion?

I'm not talking about SE text or sales text.

I mean actually writing legible, applicable, relevant text for surfers to read. Do you think they even give a shit?

Are they prone to reading the blogs or just interested primarily in looking at the pics/vids in your opinion?

Swish 05-03-2007 01:14 AM

I'd say they're mostly interested in the content, but having some good 'real' posts adds to the quality of the blog for sure

As long as the blog interest the surfer he will read and try to reply resonably...If it doesn't then he will be more into pics/video........

I believe most don't read it and are just looking for the free stuff, but some definately do read it. I've also found the more nichey the blog the more likely ppl are reading... hard to tell but I get a rough idea by the comments and emails I get. You may as well talk about the site and do a bit of selling anyway as you gotta find something to clammer on about. :) Good use of bolding of selected text can be used to good effect as the surfer almost can't help to see those selected words and phrases.

I talk to google as much as I talk to my surfer and getting the right balance of those two is where skill needs to be had.

for me I have found they do read what I write, even if what I write is shitty. I have lots of comments for the uniques I get.

It's always nice having a "between the lines" chat with Google :winkwink: :thumbsup

important to the surfer? absolutely not!

but after a careful scientific research I found out that blogs with original text get more Google traffic than the rest (all things being equal)

here, see for yourself:
http://www.google.com/search?q=+&#37...t art=30&sa=N

that's basically thumbloger blogs with public stats, check the ones that get the mopst traffic, and copy their model ;)

use your own domains though, I'm still pissed off about the gazillion sites I used to have on free hosts, sooner or later the free blog hosts will die too and lotsa people will get "burned"

It's a combination of both, but I feel a lot of the people really do want to read personal type blog entries, no matter how banal.

I flirt more with google on a daily basis then I ever have with a boyfriend.

Yes, it is important, because it creates credibility and trust. Many surfers are used to sites that send them to trades via blind links, popups, loads of sales text and so on...and if they find a site that looks like it's written by a fellow porn surfer, they get the impression that's it's not about getting their credit card number only.

It's real people, we call them traffic, many maybe dumb as hell, but they are not just link clicking machines or bots, they recognize differences, even if they only click the galleries and don't read all the text.

When I write entries, I try my best to make them coherent and interesting. Sometimes it is difficult to come up with "new" ways to say the same thing, so that's when the online thesaurus comes into play :)

Especially if you have used the same picture on three blogs already that month....only so many interesting things to say.
