Affiliates - What do you want from a sponsor
 

i signed on with www.geminimen.com last month to start their dvd store , webmaster program , content store , traffic etc.. so i have a couple questions for affiliates

this is a established gay website it has been on line since 2000 it has current active members and the retaining is great..

what promotional material do you look for
FHG, free sites
does anyone use banners.. what size work good for you
are you comfortable with ccbill?
RSS feeds.. these are almost a necessity now

They want everything handed to them, and then when you do, its not good enough, they have seen better, they have made better. what ever. Its always something.

You can only please some of them some of the time.

Restrain the use of free content. There's way too much of it out there. Keep your free movie clips down to 10 seconds. Good banners, a photo-of-the-day, gallery-of-the-day, or movie-of-the-day feature. You don't need to give the store away to make a sale, and you shouldn't.

That is one big thing.

The other only thing that matters is the money. No one gives a shit about laptop giveaways, Ipods, etc... I got lots already.

FHG's are worthless these days so who cares.

In fact I feel the glossier the program and the more petty promotions the bigger the likelihood it is bent somehow.
