Los Angeles = $4.09 Per gallon of Gas!!!!!!!! WTF??

Analysts are saying by end of July could be 6.00 +

Wonder how long before the crimes against stations and refineries start happening. When people lose faith in the system and their babies start going hungry to buy gas so daddy can go to work shit will start happening.

This is absolutely terrible for people who live paycheck to paycheck which is a large portion of California. I really feel sorry for people with middle class jobs that pay 10-14 bucks an hour or so and have 3 kids and apt and everything to pay for.

Just saw a news interview with some mother that said she thought she might have to start selling her shit at home to make ends meet because of how expensive life is becoming. Gas prices are absolutely out of control.

Spunky 05-03-2007 05:41 PM

It's over 5 bucks a gallon here in B.C...sucks ass

thedalmation 05-03-2007 05:43 PM

I hear ya

in Canada its been equivalent of 3.85 a gallon for months

Why do you exaggerate about gas prices all the time? I know for fact gas isn't more than $4.10 per gallon in most places in BC.

Yes that's a lot higher than the 3.70 I am paying now, but not a ton more.

k0nr4d 05-03-2007 06:19 PM

He's not exagerating man. Im paying $1.36/L today. about 4L in a gallon, do the math...

abyss_al 05-03-2007 06:20 PM

still not bad considering we pay four bucks for a cup of coffee :2 cents:

$1.36 US or Canadian?

k0nr4d 05-03-2007 06:22 PM

Canadian, but its more or less the same thing now. Hell, in a couple months ill probably be billing in CAD instead of USD :P

tony286 05-03-2007 06:23 PM

this week I ve seen it effecting sales.

DaddyHalbucks 05-03-2007 06:24 PM

Americans keep driving those big SUVs, which keep the demand strong.

Big demand + low supply = high price.

northboy 05-03-2007 06:37 PM

it's been about 1.14-1.18 past couple of days here in Montreal.

tony286 05-03-2007 06:39 PM

I remember paying 71 cents a gallon during clinton

Za Ha 05-03-2007 06:40 PM

People just need smaller more fuel efficient cars and not cry about how expensive gas is when they drive a shit box SUV that goes 10 miles to the gallon.

still does nothing for those of us that do drive fuel effiicent cars.....they need to charge more when someone rolls up in a giant gas hog and cut a break to those that do drive small efficent cars:2 cents:

I just switch currency on a shopping cart ... DVD's that were 29.99 US are now 32.99 CAN .... easier to process on my Canadian Merchant account ... As the US drops, my $Can will stay ...

Next is hosting in Canadian dollars .... after 2 other carts to switch.

It was .78 a gallon at the "pit stop" on Rt 18 near New Brunswick, nj when I was first driving. :Oh crap

PMdave 05-03-2007 06:47 PM

Here in Belgium: 7.13 USD/gallon
So you still have something to go.

aico 05-03-2007 06:49 PM

The problem isn't the price keeps going up, the problem is people continue to bend over and take it up the ass. If you don't want to pay for high gas prices, stop paying for gas. Ride a bike, take the bus, walk, skateboard, rollerblade, ride your horse.

I'm not exagerating all the time..I'm basing it on a litre per US gallon..most American people don't know what the fuck a litre is.Regular is 1.27 at the moment

Sounds like a UK price craig?

Makes ya wondering what the whining is about when gas is around $6.72 per US gallon in the UK :winkwink:

stev0 05-03-2007 07:32 PM

People should walk or ride bikes to work... would help solve the obesity problem too.

tranza 05-03-2007 07:34 PM

Your gas is still cheaper when compared to the rest of the world.

:2 cents:

3.7 gallons per litre. If your 92p is GBP 92 pence per litre, then that's approximately $6.808USD/gallon.

But then London is likely the most expensive city in the world, possibly challenged by some of the Japanese cities, like Tokyo.

You got it. :thumbsup

Problem is that most Americans are over-weight lazy people. That doesn't include all the snobs either.

Peaches 05-03-2007 07:45 PM

It was about $8 a gallon in Europe. Only rich people drive in London as they also have a "congestion tax" of about $10USD a day.

We had a 4 cylinder diesel we rented in Ireland that got GREAT gas mileage.

The US has some of the lowest gas prices in the world.

Not if start counting the taxdollars it takes to keep those prices low.

DateDoc 05-03-2007 08:12 PM

I get about 13 MPG but then I drive less than 50 miles per week so I could care less. I'd be happy to see it hit 6 or 7 bucks a gallon because less ppl would drive and I could get around quicker when I do drive. :1orglaugh
