how do I turn a monitor sideways?
I need to mount a monitor on it's side, but have the image still be right side up. I can't seem to do it in the settings. Do I need a special graphics card?
I'm trying to mount a 19" monitor inside an old upright arcade game to convert it into a mame machine. The monitor that came out was monuted sideways, and the monitor overlays are all taller than they are wide. Anyone familiar with this? |
If you have a ATI or nVidia graphics card you can do it in the driver settings/control panel.
|
If you have an nvidia card, you can go into settings and rotate the display there...
|
You can do it in Vista with ease.
|
First if you have a nVidia card and the latest forceware (drivers) from nVidia goto Start> Settings> Control Panel> nVidia Control Panel. On the left menu look for Display and then "Rotate" that's what you're looking for.
If you have some old version of nVidia drivers or a ATI card you will most likely find the drivers in another spot. Right click the desktop and click properties (personalize in Vista) then Display settings > Advanced Settings. In there look for the settings/controls for your card, it will depends on what card you have. Hope that helps. :winkwink: |
