Best "Mother" memory?
With Mother's Day approaching and the fact my sister and I are putting together a book of memories for my mother, I wondered what memories you have of your mothers?
One of my top memories, (and why I think so highly of the woman who birthed me) was when my father had his hunting accident and was unable to work for several months, she worked two jobs to make sure all of the bills got paid, I still had my bowling money (I bowled on a youth league on the weekends) and that Christmas, we still managed to have a nice one thanks to her tireless work. She never complained and still managed to watch me bowl every weekend and didn't even miss a single recital my sister had. So GFYers, what memories do you have of your mothers? |
well, i would rather share my feeling and experience as a mother...it's a very amazing feeling when i gave birth to my daughter..i feel so overwhelmed that time and when i put her on my chest...

My best mother memory? Well, I remember clearly when I was about 8 years old and I just got done taking a bath and I was in my room changing. My mom busted into my room with a camera and was chasing me around the house while I was bare ass naked, she finally got the picture, and I was clinging onto my dad's hand telling him to help me :)
ahh my good childhood memories :) |
I was a lifeguard and also taught swimming lessons. This was way way back in the day. My Mom was afraid to swim. Finally on some of our family camping trips, I managed to encourage her to get in the water. And not be afraid. And to learn to float, basic strokes.
So four decades later, she now does water aerobics, isn't afraid of the water, and looks mighty hot for an old broad. I only wish I looked as good in shorts as she does. She thanks me for that. I owe her so much more but this sticks in my mind. |
