I think that the buzz is nice...But I think some wild turkey might have done the same thing...I don't feel like cutting my ear off though and I'm not hallucinating...

Well how much thujone was in it? There are some absinthes with barely any... you need to get one thats really packed with it

If you drank the real stuff you would know you would get a boost or buzz that no other thing would give you...

I got the strongest that I could possibly buy which is the Czech kind which is supposed to be stronger...Now don't get me wrong...I'm buzzed like a muthafucka and the effect has taken ahold and I'm in a fucking good mood..but it wasn't worth the $143 that I had to pay for it, which includes shipping...

If I only had to pay $25 for it, it would be well worth the price...

I watched a show on the History channel about Absinthe. It's not suppose to make you hallucinate.

Heres my abstineth story...
I went round to a pals house for a bit of a content shooting party...
Lots of new models and industry people etc... It was very chilled and it actually had a very laid back, party vibe to it...

Someone produced the abstineth... I had never tried it before, and I dont normally drink much anyway, but me being me, i decided to guzzle a large glass down in one, cause 'it wouldnt effect me'....

Well, I remember the room spinning, and I sat on the sofa... Then it was suddenly the next morning, and someone had put a blanket over me...

I got up, saw the party host... Said sorry for crashing out on him, etc, and thanked him for the blanket... After lunch it was time to leave, and as I was saying goodbye, he asked me to sign a model release...

Turned out that they had left me on the sofa, put an ice pack on my head, and a themometer poking out my mouth... And proceeded to shoot an absurd set with a 'doctor' and three sexy nurses, all doing everything possible... With me in the background as the 'paitent'

I said WHF ? and he replied that I was so out of it, he didnt want to move me ! So if you ever see a medical set online somewhere, and the 'patient' is on a sofa... Then thats me !

I'm seriously hit right abouit now.....But even though I'm feeling great, and my fingers feel light on this keyboard, it STILL isn't worth $143....

I was just out yesterday for this years first round of batting practice and my core is just killing me. I read this and couldn't stop laughing and I'm hurtin now. Nice story, well worth it the pain!

Hmm apparently it's legal to buy and sell here in Canada. I am going to find out what the ingredients are....I have had it before in Vancouver, can't say I loved it, nor did it do anything. How much are you suppose to consume in one sitting?

There's absolutely no proof that thujone is hallucinogenic.

In fact, your average chemist would swear to you that it is not.

I've brewed a few beers with wormwood or wormwood oils in it, and drank much of each batch... never experiencing what I'd call a "hallucination" under their effect.

Absinthe will, however, get you fucked up... but no more than a decent bottle of gin might.

Like Gin, Absinthe contains many botanicals - some of which may give a stimulant effect, giving you a more clear-headed buzz. Thujone does seem to have this effect, even if it won't take you down the rabbit hole.
