Who?s GFY?s ?King of the Trivia Ring? Old School Style? QUIZ INSIDE
Sorry this is not “Guess This Win This” thread but some good old wrestling trivia.
I’ll post the answers as soon as they are all guessed either collectively or by one person. The only prize is that if someone gets them all right them I would dub them GFY’s “KING OF THE RING” in Wrestling Trivia. LET'S GET IT ON! http://www.sitespecificdocumentary.c...s/joecover.jpg The Rasslin' Round 1. This man, who shared the same last name as wrestling’s Krusher, became Premier of the Soviet Union on March 27, 1958. 2. Long time NWA champion must have loved the great outdoors. 3. Jake Robert's snake shared the same name as a child in a 1970s horror classic. What was it? 4. This famed wrestler and announcer had the first name of a ground dwelling omnivore and the last name of a heavy storm in Asia. 5. Their manager Jim Cornett did enjoy breaking the rules, but they never tried to smuggle hash out of Turkey. 6. This wrestling commander appeared in the video for "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." 7. The American Dream is better known by this name, which sounds almost like it could be a John Denver song. 8. This wrestler has the same nickname as one of Curtis Mayfields albums. 9. This wrestler wasn't invented by Robert Fulton, nor was he a mythilogical creature. But he is considered one of the finest wrestlers ever, and his match with Randy Savage at Wrestlemania 3 is considered by many to be the greatest match in WWF history. 10. This wrestler was, no surpise, a big Superman fan. His girlfriend, Miss Elizabeth, died under mysterious circumstances at his house in 2003. 11. They wore spiked football shoulder pads and had Mohawks but they weren’t StreetFighters. 12. He was huge, close to seven feet tall. He had the $15,000 Body Slam Challenge and nobody could slam him. 13. You could cut a 2” x 4” with this guys name just don’t try taking it away from him. 14. The only wrestler that was proud to wear a skirt in the ring. 15. He didn’t breathe fire but he was as smooth as a cruise on the river. _ |

Billy Jack Haynes fought Hercules (w/Bobby Heenan) to a double countout (7:44) After the match, Hercules busted open Haynes with his chain. Ricky Steamboat (w/George Steele) defeated Randy Savage (w/Miss Elizabeth) to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship (14:35) Steamboat pinned Savage with a roll-up. That actually was one of the best wrestling matches I'd ever seen. I thought it was longer than that though. |
