Ever been wrongly accused of a crime?

I've had a couple of assholes try to frame me up here in LA and elsewhere over the past few years. They all got beat down and a big surprise.

Made me wonder about all the people who get falsely accused of shit and sent to prison for like 20 years and get off because of DNA testing or deathbed confessions.

If I had sat in prison for 20 years on some bullshit and got out later I woulda made more headlines kicking people's asses for that shit.

I see some guys who get beaned during divorces. It's like anything the woman and her friends and such say goes right into the judge's ear with no problemo.

A guy just got $5M for being sent to prison for 18 1/2 years for a rape he didn't commit. DNA evidence freed him.

LiveDose 05-17-2007 04:25 PM

When you are arrested and sitting in the holding pen everyone is innocent...LOL

Rochard 05-17-2007 04:29 PM

Many years ago shortly before I joined the US Marines I was sort of "without a home" and spent most of my time crashing at different friend's houses. I stayed with my friend "Todd" and his folks for about a month, and a month later it was discovered some stuff was missing from his grandmother's apartment. The police called me in for questioning, and much to my surprise they had phone records of where I was currently staying - which included a number of records to the only pawn shop in the area.

Being as I didn't take anything and didn't sell anything through the pawn shop (which I had never been to), the matter was dropped and I never heard about it again.

So what were they trying to nail you for? Granny panties? Plastic furniture covers? Inquiring minds want to know...:)

Funny story with me:

I was about 14 or so, and was 'fired' from a pizza place, within two weeks I took off up north to my grandma's cottage to spend a few weeks of summer vacation.

Important thing to know... I was 14 could not drive and was 255 miles away from the pizza place.

About 2am I get a phone call at the cottage, turns out an hour prior I BURNED DOWN THE PIZZA PLACE and was seen by about 10 witnesses.

The cops kept me on the phone for over 45 mins asking all sorts of stupid ass questions (trying to confirm my identity) meanwhile the local cops were also on their way to the cottage to arrest me (no shit)

I Guess, I made the car ride 4 hours down burned down the pizza place and was seens by 10 eye witnesses who SWORE IT WAS ME, then made the trip back in UNDER an hour to talk to the police.

I was taken to the local station, they took my photo and faxed it down state, that photo was shown to the 'witnesses' and the STILL swore it was me lmao

After a few hours I was finally let go.

(The fire turned out to be an inside insurance job and the witnesses were all ether workers or friends of the owner trying to set my ass up)

But still a great story lol

I'll see if they can reopen the case. Sounds like you really planned your crime out well. Congrats.

DBS.US 05-17-2007 05:09 PM

So you had a friend drive you there and you used a fire bomb with a timer on it to go off hours later. Lucky the police don't care.

BlackCrayon 05-17-2007 05:11 PM

I was falsely arrested for stealing a bike once. This well known theif was caught riding a stolen bike and said i sold it to him. Don't know why they bought that but a few hours later i was in a holding cell. Luckily the chief of police knew me and believed me.

in the end 9 times out of 10 the accuser doesn't give a fuck who does the time as long as they know someone is in trouble for what happened to them. the police know this and they sometimes just lock people up to please the victim and give them a new false sense of security.

everytime theres a huge media hype about a particular case. they get a ton of pressure from the public to come up with the guilty person. which sometimes leads to false accusations and convictions. and in some cases the police know that person is innocent but just use them as a scapegoat and be done with it. they even go as far as getting forensic scientists to stretch the truth for the court to make it easier for the jury to convict. its bullshit and it happens every single day in this country.

Raven Riley Wants Me Bad 05-17-2007 06:04 PM

I was once accused of "peeping" on a hot girl. They said it was a crime but I know they couldn't prove my state of mind and that I had no intent to commit the crime. When the police arrived, they actually drove up on the lawn. I was in a tree in her side yard. They pointed their spots right on me and started yelling at me. I continued to hide the best I could. They eventually threatened to shoot me with a tranquilizer dart and catch me in some sort of "mini tramp" device. They took my camera and I sat in jail all night and eventually was sentenced to 60 days. Those bastards never wanted to hear the truth. None of them. They all thought I was guilty from the start and there was nothing I could do to protect myself. I always thought it was, "innocent until proven guilty" ya right.

I was accused of holding drugs and a teacher made me do something short of a strip search. Nothing was found on me and people were all apologetic, but you just don't get over someone making you take off your clothes after presenting you with an accusation with no evidence. If I'd been a smarter kid i'd have refused the search on my person. But I was naive and dumb and scared out of my mind.

I'd track that teacher down and break my foot off in their ass for that shit.

I don't think there's a statute of limitation to that stuff.

I was accused and prosectued of theft of a motor vehicle and criminal damage to property when I was 18.

the jist of the story is my buddys dad owned a golf course, he had a huge trampoline off one of the holes in the woods that you could jump onto off a tree. Him, me and a bunch of buddys went out, drank beers and were screwing around on it for awhile. Anyways, i forgot my new sweatshirt that I had just got and told him we needed to go back out.

He gave me the keys to the golf cart, I ended up getting lost because it was dark, late and there were no headlights on the fucking thing. I ended up driving over some greens, which were wet from earlier rain.

Next day I have the cops come over to my house and talk to me. Apparently, the owners kid (and another guy) said they had kicked me out earlier in the night and that i must have come back and stole the golf cart. I called the kid and he said he had to tell his dad that because he was so pissed and he didnt want to get in trouble.. Anywho, I got tried and charged with the crime, had to do 3 weeks of chopping wood at some gay outdoor camp for the state and now have a theft on my record.

Fanfuckingtastic!

SykkBoy 05-18-2007 09:54 AM

When I was 20, I was accused of stealing a woman's purse in a parking lot....she had described me perfectly and even knew my name...so I got taken into custody and was scared to death...then they mentioned when the crime happened and I was at work that day. Luckily, I was working as a chef at a big banquet that day and was seen by the couple hundred people that ate there and chitchatted with me and the staff...not to mention my time clock records...

It turns out she was atatcked from behind and someone who had a grudge against me told her I had done it and described me plus gave her my name.

In the end, it worked out nicely though, she bought me an amazing dinner and picked up the tab at Harrahs' in Laughlin for a weekend as an apology. To this day, after 17 years, every Christmas I get a Christmas card from her. So it wasn't all bad.

As a store security guard I've accused dozens of gypsies for things they've never done, according to them atleast. The packages of coffees, pounds and pounds of cheese packs and cigarette cartons were inside the womens skirts before they came to the store...

Tom_PM 05-18-2007 10:02 AM

When I was 15 or so I had working papers and had a summer job helping the janitors prep an elementary school for the next year. I got accused along with my friend who worked with me of stealing a bunch of the schools tape recorders and other crap.

So I'm sitting in the police station with my mother, and the detective is asking all sorts of questions and telling us what "he knows" etc. Told him I rode my bike home from work as usual that day. Then he gets to the part where my friend had said that my father picked us up that day from work. Well, I had to inform the cop that my father had died years ago, and the cop just stopped and said he was sorry to have troubled us.

The "friend" had stolen them and tried to blame me but was luckily a bad liar. Damn idiot..

I'm in the middle of being charged for domestic violence right now. A trumped up charge because my wife is bi-polar and went into a clinic to get some meds and was mad because I wasn't able to leave work to get them for her, she wouldn't wait another hr for me to get off work to get them, she told the nurse that I had hit her the night before in a drunken rage, She admitted that she lied but I'm still getting charged anyways. Even her pdoc, friends, family, etc all testified and wrote out letters in my favor.

I've done nothing but stick by my wife and kids for the 11 years we've been married and since she's been unable to work due to her illness, I've tried to pick up side work setting up servers, etc but not much has come in. Basically I"m screwed also and know how the people that get thrown in prison feel after being charged with a crime they didn't commit.

We can see how this went awry: Beer

One bad decision followed another. That so sucks and that guy ain't your friend bro'. Had you all told the truth the cops would have chalked it up to one boner after another and called it a day.

Oh, I feel for ya. Got several friends with that problem with the bi polar wife.

They give them psychiatric medication that fucks them up even more. Word is that diet, nutritional diet choices is the key to handling bi polar.

You have your work cut out for you. Make sure you get a lawyer who can prepare ahead of time that with a bipolar wife no telling what can happen.

I got a lawyer and based on what evidence the prosecutor has against me, I'm screwed so many different ways that it's not even funny. I had to plead guilty even though I'm not because if I plead not guilty then It would've gone to trial and that's more money for my lawyer. I had to borrow the money for what she's done already and not-guilty ment that it would go to trial and an additional $5k

So now I get to see a parole officer and they are going to do an investigation on me and then let the court know at my sentencing what my outcome should be. I have no choice but to say and do what they want to stay out of jail, if I go to jail then I lose my job for sure and then nobody will be able to take care of our kids.

That so chews ass o-mighty! Guys get so screwed in situations like this. If it ain't too late and you're looking for a lawyer try Bill Handel's website at www.legalzoom.com or www.handelonthelaw.com

At least they'll let you know where you stand and your choices if any.

It sucks that justice in this country is based on how much money you have in direct contrast to what the founding father's wanted. This happens because lawyers make the rules and rule in their favor.

Dang! If you're black in the U.S. you're guilty automatically of everything from kidnapping the Lindbergh baby to shooting JR Ewing on the old Dallas tv show.

One of the oldest tricks in the book for criminals is to say "A black guy did it."

That has been used since the 1700s easy. It throws the cops off their trail long enough to get away. Black guys I know were getting arrested for making cereal soggy.

The U.S. is still full of stupid people and unfortunately many of them can be cops and prosecutors.

One day black men in the U.S. will get a grip and combine their resources into a powerful legal lobby where they're all covered for legal bills and can fight on fair ground. It shouldn't be that difficult if they have a mind to do it.

I have never been accused of a crime as such, but back in the late 60's I used to run a fund for paying the fines of people who got arrested at anti-Vietnam demonstrations. That made me really popular with the local police and it became truly astonishing how often I fit the description of someone they were looking for.

I recall being patted down outside a major chain store one Saturday morning and kept in the "spread 'em" position for 10 or 15 minutes, to the intense interest of everyone passing by. One evening I was stopped three times and got home to several police cars waiting outside, all with their lights flashing. All told, I spent several hours sitting in cells and interview rooms. Not a lot of fun.

A few years later I worked for some rather dubious gentlemen in south London, which apparently got me listed as an "associate of known criminals". That got me a couple more question and answer sessions...

Right on!

Dude you can divorce her and get custody if you prove her bipolar disability is a threat to the safety of the welfare and wellbeing of the children. That shouldn't be too difficult to do.
