Changed from the Blackberry to the Blackjack .. anyone else do this?

Juicy has the new Blackberry and i love it but the blackjack is a bit smaller and with my plan i got it for $100. the new Blackberry would have been $350. so i gave it a try. Pete has the Blackjack and loves it but it's Different then that I've been using for about 4 years. I'm having a hard time adjusting .. anyone else make this switch and will it get better? I'm thinking the Windows software maybe a bad thing on a phone ..i'm just not sure

You should have waited for BB 8300 that was announced a week ago (http://www.blackberrycurve.com. It's the same size as the Pearl but a bit wider with a full keyboard.

im getting the i600.. one model lower then the blackjack. why? cause the i600 has wifi

I have. The smaller size is my primary reason. I think the Blackjack is the suxz0rs for e-mail, though.

I am reserving judgement until I can lay hands on the Curve and then we shall see.

all the full size blackberry's have a full keyboard .. I have the 8700 sitting right here ( my old phone ) and the blackjack and they both have full keyboards. the WiFi on the new one sounds cool and the look of that 8300 is slick but i think the size of the Blackjack is what does it for me. very thin and about a 1/2 inch narrower .. I just can't adjust to the way it functions .. it seems like the wheel doesn't control as much. it seemed easier to work the BB with one hand while driving and shit.

I am looking at these myself...

That blackjack really looks like a cheap rip off of the BB.

it's really not .. when you hold them both in your hand the Blackjack feel like a better quality phone. the wheel on the BB is a little smoother but the Blackjack feels almost like a rubber coated metal and the BB feels like Plastic

Someone I buy offline advertising from got one a few months back and doesn't like it. Well...he does and he doesn't. The phone he has no issues with, it's Windows Mobile.

I have the BB Pearl and it's just a tad to small for my hands. The 8800 was to big for my pockets. The 8300 (aka Curve) is just between the two in terms of size. I feel like it will be small enough to carry without having a phone pulling down your pants because it's big and heavy, yet still have a full keyboard, better screen, etc,.

I find Windows phones just overkill. my 2c.

Does the BlackJack work with only certain cell carriers or any of them?
I use Sprint. Thanks.

Mayor recently had to switch from the Blackjack to the Dash, because he couldn't get service in Thailand for it, but here he really liked it... :pimp

I've had the 87oo for about a year now and I know what you mean. It's bulky and even in my back pocket it pulls my pants down. I've actually had to put a belt on in the past just so i can carry my phone ..lol I went with the Blackjack mainly because it was smaller and it was in stock at the place i go to. I was just there picking up a new phone for the wife and decided to get a new one for myself. Now I have a Razor / Blackberry 8700 and a Blackjack. I have Cingular so i can swap the Sim card and use whatever one i like.

I swap over to the razor if I'm going out to dinner and don't want the bulky phone ..
