Hello Everybody,

Wow, all I can say is that the big barbeque is really coming together now. I scouted out the location on Thursday night and it's BEAUTIFUL. We are going to have such a wonderful time on Saturday June 16th.

My vision for the party is to have people flow in and out all day and night long, to enjoy a few beers and some tasty food in a fun location, to socialize with longtime pals, meet new interesting people, and enjoy all that's wonderful about summertime in BC. We'll have the barbeques going, the outdoor hot tub open for relaxing, and a live DJ spinning great tunes.

You are also invited to BYOB, and in the evening we'll have a couple of bar servers dressed up in french maid outfits who will guard your alcohol and mix your drinks from the bar on the main floor. A doorman will greet everyone as they come in, ensure ONLY those ON THE GUEST LIST are granted entry, and receive the $5 per person admission (please bring exact change).

We have parking for 40 cars on site, and additional parking for another 15 cars after 7PM. There is a park-and-ride at Scott Road station that can be used when the on-site lots are full; it's only a 5-minute $13.00 cab ride to the event from the park-and-ride. Although there is a church across the street there is NO PARKING permitted there. If you park there, your car will get towed. Seriously.

The afternoon portion of the barbeque will be fully family-friendly; parents please feel free to bring your children from 3PM-7PM. After 7PM, the event will become Adults Only. In the evening, a couple of the upstairs bedrooms will be available for sex play; please use the safer sex supplies provided and change the sheets when you are done. There is to be NO PLAY in the downstairs areas at all. Remember the cardinal rule of consent: NO MEANS NO. Any violators will be immediately removed from the premises and banned from future events.

I will have a highly trained security guard & first aider at the event for our safety and peace of mind. At this event you are expected to put petty differences/rivalries aside for the greater good of everyone having a fun time. There will be no fighting; we all deserve to party in a bullshit-free environment.

Also, the venue is only licensed for 100 people, but there are more than 250 of us expected to attend. This means we must stagger our attendance at the party, so if you can come earlier in the day, please do so. Unfortunately if it gets too crowded at any given time, some people will be asked to leave. However, if everyone comes at different times and stays for 4-6 hours, we should be able to accommodate everyone.

I'd also like to ask for some volunteers to help with the event. I need a set-up crew to help get everything ready and I also would like volunteers to do a 30 minute shift in either the kitchen (taking care of the food) or around the property (for garbage patrol). Please contact me if you can help with this.

Also, remember that this is a potluck, so please bring a side dish to share. Good ideas are nibblies such as veggies & dip, cold cuts, cheeses, crackers, chips, and finger foods like samosas, mini egg rolls, pizza bites, etc. I also need two more barbeques, some coolers, lots of ice, plates, forks, & napkins, and barbeque fixin's. For your party checklist, make sure you've:
-RSVP'ed with the number in your party and the names of your guests
-got your towel for the hot tub
-have business cards for networking
-BYOB
-$5 for the door
-side dish to share

I've also invited a few key people from the local sex-positive communities to mix and mingle with us. There will be representatives from the kink scene, the swinger community, sex-positive retailers, and a few other important people involved in the local sex scene on different levels. I think you'll really enjoy the dynamic conversations and connections you'll make with these people.
