X-Aff.com Adult Blog Hosting is now open

Hey just wanted to let everyone know that we just opened our X-Aff.com Free Adult Blog Hosting for GFY members to sign up and test out our services.

We currently host over 30 different themes for you to apply to your blog, and are working on installing several different plugins to make the life of the webmaster (you!) easier.

We are also preinstalling links to blog directories inside the blogrolls, so that you don't need to add 15 different links once your blog is open, you can just submit your site to their directories. (More information to be added soon).

Anyways, thanks for taking a moment to read this thread - I look forward to seeing the blogs you open.

Visit www.X-Aff.com to get started opening your own adult blog.

By the way, feel free to open as many as you like, and let me know if you need any help :)

Sounds like a great service, good luck mate

Forkbeard 05-20-2007 05:27 PM

In 2007 is there still anybody crazy (or lazy) enough to work on building traffic to and brand equity in a blog on a domain owned by somebody else?

porn blogger 05-20-2007 05:39 PM

Didn't someone say that about marketing domains for sale once before?

Alot of people either can't afford to start with their own hosting plan, or realize that you don't need to have a paid hosting plan to make great money. Tim started his business with the money he earned from his free-hosted adult websites.

When you take the costs of a domain, and monthly hosting fees out of the equation, you're profiting much more than if you had to pay for the hosting, and the domain.

I don't see this as a problem, as this isn't really an Ad-supported service. Most blog hosts will require you have their ad on the most prominent areas of YOUR SITE, or require you to fill in a bunch of affiliateid forms, and restrict who you can advertise.

The people who host with X-Aff.com have free reign over their accounts, and great technical support (Something most PAID hosts have trouble providing well.)

Anyhow, I hope you like our service, and find it fairly easy to use.

Like I said, if you need any help with X-Aff, let me know and I will be glad to help.

visit www.X-Aff.com to find out for yourself.

I'm glad you think so, feel free to open as many blogs as you'd like. Also, let us know if there are any issues, or anything you would like to see added.

If they can't afford a 0.99 info domain ( to start ) and a 3.95 hosting plan, there is then no point for them to even get into this business :2 cents:

Not trying to piss in your wheaties, porn blogger. But I think using your service, or any adult blogging service, is a *huge* mistake for any adult blogger. Penny wise and pound foolish. Short term thinking.

The whole *point* to having an adult blog is to get traffic. To do that, you need to build a brand. The traffic, and the brand, have value -- but only to the person who owns the associated domain name.

Somebody building traffic and a brand on your domain is giving you an enormous gift, because they won't own what they've built, even if you let them use it at first.

Doing it on their own domain (any 8.88 domain they register themselves, even porn-blogggity239.info) lets them build an asset. Doing it on your domain is an enormous mistake, because you can turn them off any old time and pump their traffic to the sponsor of your choice. Not saying you would, just saying the structure of the deal creates the possibility.

People learned this years ago with free hosting for galleries. Over and over again, it was always a bad deal. Older wiser heads said "get your own domain and hosting" in every thread full of newbie advice. Poor newbies always ignored that advice at first (I did too) until they got burned once.

This is that same old wine in new bottles. I try to post a warning in every "free adult blogging service" thread that I see, nothing personal. Just a bad deal that's easy and cheap to avoid.

Sometimes "free" is way too expensive. This is one of those times.

(And no, this has nothing to do with the fact that I've got a portfolio of adult blog domains. Nobody who is trying to save pennies a day on blog hosting will be making serious offers on my domains.)

StarkReality 05-20-2007 06:13 PM

Those who think free hosted blogs are just for people who can't afford their own hosting just don't see the HUGE advantages.

Everybody is talking about SEO and if you have a look at free adult blog hosting services that are around for a long time, you'll see many of them showing up on the first page google results ? Why ? Because having a subdomain on an incredible powerful and popular domain can easily give you a first page listing for not super popular search terms. It's FREE SEO done by hundreds of other webmaster and you can profit from it.

I don't say go free hosting only, but it's some nice and easy extra traffic, I can't see anything foolish in the extra $2k+ I'm cashing from free hosted blogs every month with very little maintenance once they are built.

Nicky 05-20-2007 06:17 PM

Nice service, for you :P If any body want I can host their blogs on my domains too, hell i'll even buy a new domain for you to blog on ^^

This is the only advantage but there are better blog hosts to use for this than a new started one in that case

Yep, but sooner or later they all grow bigger and bigger, never hurts to put some eggs in a completely new basket :winkwink:

porn blogger 05-20-2007 06:24 PM

Like I said before, this service is here to say- and it's not supported by large advertisements, or anything like that.

Most people actually like systems like this due to SEO and rankings. Most users on this type of system would not be concerned with the branding as much as the search engine traffic.

Also, as much as the possibility exists in your mind, if anyone in this office was to abuse the system, in any way- or manipulate another users account there would be severe legal consequences, and all of us are aware of that.

We absolutely want our users to make money, and send alot of traffic to their blogs. When our users are successful, we are successul. Just as with any business, we have a plan, and will be constantly developing to ensure that our users are satisfied.

So with all of that said, if you have any questions, or would like a certain feature added to your free adult blog hosting account, please let me know :)

Usually by trading links with blog directories, making posts, submitting the site to search engines, etc. If you need any help feel free to let me know.

porn blogger 05-20-2007 08:59 PM

The service was officially opened today, we went from private beta testing and now we're public. We just added a few features such as feedwordpress integration, shortstat plugin, and a forum for technicial support, updates, and theme/plugin requests.

I understand your interest in something established, but let me promise you- we're not going anywhere. We're going to be here, operating this wonderful platform, and constantly developing. We look forward to seeing you!

so your blogs is based on wordpress? i haven't use free blog hosting before. not that i remember. i think one on thumblogger but after that didn't check it and move on to my own domains etc.. i think it would be better to have the blog with free hardlink trades script and some more plugins for seo and stuff.. like those tag clouds etc etc.. just want to make a free blog host project so i could tech some of my designers how to do it as well for free. for hardlink trades it would be nice to team up with linkex.dk.. i pretty slick hardlink trade script imo.

I have to just laugh at the people that can't grasp the advantages of using free hosted blog service.

My biggest complaint about them is simply that I can't reconfigure some themes to be more SEO friendly etc.

porn blogger 05-20-2007 09:50 PM

We just added the following features:

Wp-ShortStat [Statistics for your blog]

AdultBlogResource.com Recip Links [So you can submit to their directories faster, and easier]

Forum, when you visit X-Aff.com you will see the forum, where you can get updates, request themes, and plugins, and request technical support.

We are also adding several different features as we go along, so stay tuned, and feel free to join the platform for blogging.
