Hillary Clinton wants 10 billion $ to start kids in school at 4 years old
|
Taxes going up incomes going down and the politicians just want more and more of our money
|
I think she should get the 10 billion for the schools. but leave the age at what it is now.
|
And this is new how?
I was 4 when I started school, 26 years ago. |
Uhmmm.... How much do you guys spend with militaries?
|
Um... I was already in kindergarten by age 4.
I planned on putting my 3 year old in pre-school this year. |
Yeah it's bad to educate kids better, Something needs to be done and this is far from the perfect solution but it's a part of it. They also need to have some rules and enforce them as to the quality of the schools and hold teachers responsible. If a teacher is not doing a good job it's very hard to fire them thanks to the teachers union. We need to look after our kids and make sure they have all the tools they need to succeed. If a teacher needs to go it should be an easy process. I've seen my share of teachers that are not doing the job they are paid for.

The number sounds huge, but that's pennies compared to cost of for example war in Iraq, according to www.costofwar.com, the war in iraq cost the US 428 Billion so far...

Might be a waste if the kids are brought up in good homes, but most parents are retarded, and it's probably a good idea. |
Why would anyone have a problem with preschool? I started when I was 3 or 4. The US is so far behind the rest of the world in education.
|
It's not the first 4 years of school that are failing our youth, it's the last 4.
If you want to put them in school to make up for idiot parents, just put them in state sponsored school for their entire youth, with housing and everything, and call it our Olympic Team |
Whats up with starting kids at 4?
I only knew the US didnt because Ive encountered a couple of US kids in our schools that are way behind and have to move down a year or two. |
Both my niece and nephew started school at 4... what's wrong with wanting to get kids started early? Ten billion is peanuts compared to how much this illegal war is costing, and starting school earlier would surely show better results than what this 500 billion dollar war has shown.

More government programs to control people and make them depend on the government more. $4 Billion so the government can control 4 year old kid's educations instead of letting the parents control their own kids. Typical socialist thinking that lady has. And of course I cannot post anything about Hillary without bringing to the plate that she would LOVE to control what is put on the Internet AND she loves the N.O.W. who, by the way, thinks Victoria's Secret ads are discriminating to women. Gee, I wonder what her plans, beliefs and ideas will do to the Adult Industry! LOL Not to mention she is a scorned woman who was publicly humiliated by her husband having a wondering eye (and fingers haha) |
At what age do kids enter school now?

i think a 4 year old is just wasting that year waiting to enter the public education system - he/she is pretty much just watching cartoons that year and sponging off his/her parents. they are able bodied at that age, sturdy and strong, have good communication skills - I say put them to work for that year, some kind of community service, manual labor, nothing too strenuous, picking up trash or putting stuff in boxes/envelopes.
just like 18 year old kids who take a year off before entering college to work better appreciate college afterwards I think a year in the workforce for a 4 year old will help them appreciate what a great opportunity the next 12 years are for him going to school. |

On the flipside, does this give a clue as to why there are so many idiots around who hit back to a base political level - like they have a clue?? :winkwink: |

She calls it pre-school, I call it government subsidized child care.
|
For the record Bush has given more money to schools than any other president in history. Local government is failing not federal.

Sometimes i wonder what people make children for, when they pretend to leave them 10 hours a day at pre-school since the age of 3. No wonder that most families have no influence on their children whatsoever, nowdays.

Around $439 billion officially plus an estimated black budget of anywhere between $40 billion and $1.5 trillion at the highest level. Some analysts average the truth to be around $650 billion. On the subject of truth... this is hard to establish since there is no accountability - it's called being a democracy :winkwink: This represents around 50% of total world spending on "defense". Obviously there are a lot of enemies to defend against :-) |
Better than spending over 80 billion on a bullshit war
|
sorry i should have elaborated . i certainly dont think supporting education is a bad idea, they should be throwing twice what they throw on the military into education.
but sadly this isn't the case. throwing much needed funding into something that is already done on most levels is silly.. She spoke of creating kids who wont be a burden on the welfare system later in life.. 4 year olds are not where the problem is lol. lack of education funding seems so silly to me.. its actually a quite FAST return on your investment , invest in kids and they will pay back in TAXES in 20 years or less. she should be focusing on the other end of the spectrum.. is all i was trying to say.. |

You can put your kids in school when they're 3 in Spain, 20 kids to a class.

Interesting topic...maybe there's more at play here...
Did you know... 1 out of every 150 births (and still skyrocketing) results in a child with Autism. Early intervention (therapies and IEP's) has proven these children have the best shot at growing into self-actualizing adults. Currently, in EVERY community nation-wide, excellent help (educational programs and therapies) is available through the public school system for kids with Autism for ages 3 and up. The same help in a privatized environment costs $40,000+++ per SCHOOL YEAR making help only available to a limited few. A child with Autism who grows into an adult without ever getting needed help will likely NEVER be able to hold a job. Thus, never be able to regularly pay taxes and essentially end up being a drain on the system (Social Security, welfare). Yeah...$10 billion bucks for early education programs is asinine...what the fuck is she thinking?!? My son has Autism...I am grateful these programs exist and anything more any administration wants to throw at education is OK by me. And none of this has anything to do with parental deficiencies. Read up...a child with Autism is devastating for an entire family. Fortunately, I suppose, it's just me and him (yes, I am a single CUSTODIAL parent of a 4-year old with Autism). http://www.autismspeaks.org/ http://www.cureautismnow.org/site/c.....BFD8/Home.htm Donate or participate...if you plan of having children the odds are not in your favor...and if you had a narrow-minded response to this thread you might want to rethink it. Karma is a bitch. |
Indoctrinate them early is the motto of the nwo.

I pay $1200 a month in childcare for 2 kids. The sooner I can get their little asses into school, the sooner I can spend that money on hotrod parts!

A generation ago they did not properly diagnose the problem as being autism. |
