Can someone PLEASE explain this gallery to me? Is Shap being scammed???
Can someone smarter than, me explain it to me?
I got a spam for Eden Allure, and I remembered we shot her, so I googled her and then clicked images and this gallery came up. http://www.babesandfun.com/babes/gal...te-Dawn-blonde It looks like a single gallery TGP or something. I see a trade area top right and fling.com ads down the lower right side. The images are advertising anettedawn.com a ShapCash site. Click on the thumbs and they take you to another page, and use a CSS to dump the large images into a table background and makes Shap's image a giant link to dating sites like AdultFriendFinder and SexSearch. The table has a keyword in it for SEO (I assume) and then under the image is a link that takes you to the actual image without the dating ad layover. Above and below the large image is a banner that takes you another Shap Gallery. I guess I don't understand it. Is Shap being scammed? Or is that something Shap has set up in his network? |
seems like he is geeting fucked by his affiliate to me, along with a bunch more sponsors
|
Redshoe, ads put under the image are adbrite, which is why you are seeing various sites. It's a good clue too: When you see adbrite, you are probably looking at a scammy site (sad to say that the "industry leaders" are often found on some of the worse copyright abusing sites around).
I can't picture adbrite supporting this type of super blind link - and I can't picture anyone wanting to pay good money for misdirected surfers. Yes, IMHO, Shapcash is getting fucked a couple of ways - the adbrite ads are bad, and that the gallery is jammed onto a page that is packed with other advertising links on it just isn't good for their program. Their content is being used as a lure to sell all these other things. Hopefully Shap will have something to say about this. |
I don't know whats going on there, nor do I know if this sentence makes any sense, but when I clicked the large image I got sent through "click.adbrite.com/mb/click.php?sid=106423&banner_id=10552784&cpc=302e30 3732&ssc=ed19a7057470e7af2b25a68ce36e481d&variatio n_id=138102&keyword_id=1441547".

Yep... that affiliate is fucking Shap.. probably many more.. time to term them.. adbrite needs to term them as well.
|
unless he's a very productive affiliate for Shap i'm sure Shap won't be pleased to see his content used to send traffic to some of the sleazy sites those adbrite ads are shilling for.
|
not to mention that he's commiting click fraud against AdBrite and its advertisers - surfer thinks he's clicking to see a full sized photo but he's actually clicking an AdBrite ppc ad link.

Is Shap really asleep at 4 AM?? What's this world coming to?
|
Kevin and I handle almost all affiliate matters Shap is typically busy on new projects, so in this regard we were not up at 4 am, however I have since tracked down the affiliate and passed along the info to Kevin, he is going to contact them today and explain to them that this is not "acceptable use"
Thanks for this thread its a good learning tool for guys who may not know that this is wrong! |
