I think its about time a company is going to open a world wide network with high bandwidth capabilities. I just hope bill gates doesnt turn it into a nother microsoft company.

I think it's a nice idea. Now when they start selling a product I can buy, call me back.

The company is not new, they changed their name recently that's all.
High bandwidth with satellites means no more than 50 kb/s and expect to may no less than $1/minute, if they ever get of the ground.

Did these opinions come out of deep left field or do you have some info we don't know about?

Go to Bill Gates page, you'll notice that the company is already his... and I'm not kidding.

Too bad satellite connections have horrible ping rates ...

Thats true for now.. But with a company that will go live in 3 more years, they probably have developed a way to fix that
