Exactly.

I like both but once you work through the learning curve of Vista, I prefer it over XP.

Agreed, I have been running Vista Home Professional edition for about a month and absolutely love it now.

It's easier to access programs and locate files. The GUI is much nicer than XP and any prior MS OS.

I've seen it on a friends computer, it sucked balls. Looks good for a media centre connected to a TV, but it's too fancy for me.

I'll stick to XP.

When it comes to Microsoft I'd have to say that Vista is the best operating system they came out with yet. I've never tried Linux before but I have seen it used on friends computers and yes it is a lot more secure then windows but its not as user friendly either for those that are computer literate or however you want to call them. For people that are new to the computer world or don't have a lot of experience with computers I highly reccomend Vista. Plus is has the best computer based chess game that I've played so far its one of the only ones I played out there that can beat me lol.

I AGREE WITH THAT. I heard plenty of horror stories when XP launched too..
Ultimate :banana

I installed tons of programs and never had any problem except sucking software which didn`t had a newer release since 2002, but you wouldn`t want such software anyway...
