hey guys, i really love CATS & DOGS>.
i love dogs more but i would have to move if i want one cuz my apartment doesnt allow them... Im a single guy living alone and so far everyone i tell im getting a cat go like nah thats so gay man, its creepy to have a cat, etc.. so any single guys out there with cats?? how did it fare with friends???? someone plz lemme know.. i love anmals and i know i would provide the cat with all the love he needs but i wanna know ur thoughts. |
My mammy always said, son, never trust a single man who owns a cat.
Btw, your landlord allows cats but not dogs? Dude, your landlord is a dogist! |
Fuck you for even considering one of those vile mother fucking cats, FUCK YOU!
|
Cats are kickass, who cares what people think about a single guy with a cat, basically. Just make sure you get a badass one, not just a piece of shit that lays around and hisses at you.
I have a kickass cat that wont leave me alone once I start petting it, it's nice. Cats win. |
I'm a big fan of Bengals, but they're pricey :)

Fuck the stereotypes. Do what you want.
|
I like my cat and I'm single..chicks dig her
|
I kept cats for a while, they were alright. They really got annoying though and I think I started to develop allergies somehow. They are now living with another member of my family, perfectly happy.
I'm much happier with dogs though. If your landlord allows cats they might allow a Japanese Chin. I have a Japanese chin and a German Shepherd if you take the chin out in public it's a crazy ass chick magnet - I can't walk past people without them asking what kind of dog it is/ how cool it looks |
i say get the cat.. who cares what people think? :)
|
Another cat thread? Whats up with adult webmasters and cats?:)
|
I have a dog then after the wife and kids wanted a kitten from their aunt, I fell in love with the cat, she's a great pet to have around.
I do still love my dog, but the nice thing about the cat is that you don't have to let them outside to go to the bathroom (HUGE plus) which is also nice when you want to go somewhere for a few days without bringing them to a kennel like with a dog, they don't bug you for attention all the time, and you don't have to put up with their barking. As far as negatives for owning a cat, I guess you could have bad luck and get one that scratches your furniture, but for me, our cat is 9 months old and hasn't damaged anything yet (knock on wood). I do love my dog, but when it comes down to maintinance, a cat is MUCH easier to manage. |
but i heard dogs are more affectionate and cats arent at all
|
I like cats better than dogs... Dogs are just annoying and require too much attention.
If you want a pimp cat, check this out: http://www.savannahcatbreed.com/ |
im thinking of just getting a cat from a breeder or maybe craigs list.. which breed is most affectionate?
i heard bengals are good? |

I wouldn't say cats aren't affectionate at all. I will agree that they don't always come looking for you like a dog would, but usually at night while I'm working, she'll jump up on my desk and lay in front of my monitor for some attention. |
what cat breed do u recommend i get?
|
i'm posting a thread about my 2 baby stray cats i found on the streets of Bangkok in a few minutes, they are WAY cute, and loveable, they love me i think (i hope) and i'm already in love with them
dude, they need cared for, dont have family to look after them, fuck what anyone says man, if you have the time, and responsibility to take good care of an animal(s) then by all means do so, especially animals that are in bad shape living the streets i took my to the vet, they fixed mine up nice, said they should be ok and now they eat and sleep ok, they are attached at the hip with me now hehe |
you just posted this thread the other day - why do we need another one?
:Oh crap :error |

Cats are quiet, only want attention every now and then, mostly they leave you the fuck alone and they can go to the bathroom without your help. They're a lot like they way I prefer my women. |
Chicks love bengals

Cats are brilliant. Grew up with them my whole life until my cat of 14 years died last summer.
This morning my girlfriend also woke me up as our neighbour had asked her if we knew who owned a little black cat that he found lying dead in his garden this morning. Really sad, it was curled up in a ball as if it lay down and just didn't wake up. |
awwwwwwww
|
I was single and had two cats. I don't know what the guys thought my orientation was, but the girls I brought home liked them, which is all that matters really. :Graucho

I can't believe no one posted this - wow, you guys are slipping :1orglaugh

I would recommend going to your local pound versus getting one off the internet. That way you can check out the personality beforehand and make sure you get along. Cats are picky creatures. They don't like everyone. They are great when they love you. I grew up having lots of cats, trust me some are strange. You want to get to check out the cat a little first. :2 cents:
|
You want a cat?
Get one. "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss ("The Cat in the Hat") I shared the responsibility of a couple of cats for ten years with an old roommate before we went our separate ways. Had them trained to go to the bathroom in the toilet and everything (having trained both... cats are a lot smarter than dogs, imho - but also a lot more independent). Only chicks that didn't love them were the ones with allergies. |
I like dogs much more
|
I got a cat for my oldest daughter..We've had him for over five years and he's a very affectionate cat...I just don't like cleaning up after animals and if a cat decides to piss in your bathtub, LOOK OUT...The stench is something awful and the ONLY thing that can get rid of the smell is bleach and even that is only temporary...Once a cat REALLY gets to pissing in your tub, (like when we were out of town for a week), the smell never goes away completely..
Thank God I'm moving out of this place Friday...I'm going to pour straight bleach in the bathtub to keep it nice for a week...Then the landlord is going to smell a hint of "something" after awhile...But by then, I'll be long tone. edit...this is only applicable to PLASTIC tubs....Good ole fashioned iron/ceramic tubs aren't a problem... |
