Movie makers are always on the lookout for ways to get past sometimes oppressive distribution protocols and procedures. Actually was the same with comic books. However because of the internet we're able to reach the customer base more broadly and some doing so brilliantly. I know several adult producers also do independent films too. That's all, just asking. I know there are some talented writers, actors, musicians, editors, photographers in the adult business. |

Article : Attention Adult Content Providers!
Attention Adult Content Providers! Looking for another way to make extra money off the videos you've already produced? Well who isn't? Of course the DVD market is exploding with content available in adult stores, rental places, and even mail order catalog sales. But it would be foolish to ignore the every growing on-line marketplace. The Internet is the way people communicate these days because of its speed, convenience, and ability to reach out to virtually anyone, anywhere in an instant. So, in this high tech, information age, shouldn't porn be as readily available? Well anyone who has been on-line knows the Internet is already swimming in porn, but most of the free stuff is low budget and low quality. To get to the good stuff, it usually requires fans to pay expensive monthly fees to join a website, and they are billed crazy amounts of money, if they use the site a few minutes or many hours a month. There has to be a better way to get porn on the Internet right? Well there is, and it is called Video on Demand. And as a content provider, there are several reasons why you should look to VOD as an additional way to market your current video library to earn extra cash and get instant feedback on which titles are among your most popular. learn more ... http://xodgroup.com/articles/adult_content.html |
VOD, well you sure said a mouthful! Is it profitable? Any stats?

We represent over 200 studios/producers and they love our marketing and strategic plans for them...DVD business is slowing down and streaming ( online ) for studios is growing ....

That's the same data I'm getting from some of the studio marketing guys who are worried about independent films getting into VOD/streaming. Netflix has their online flicks so you don't have to do the mail thing. There are a lot of independent film makers making tons of movies but once you see them you know why they're independent...they suck! I see these guys talking all this shit about how they can do this or that and then wanna show up with their movie and it sucks. They might have all their technical stuff down pat, but their writing and directing eats shit on rye bread. Quality is a rare commodity. |
