Is it a good idea to send newsletters to members re: updates etc? Does this increase or decrease member retention? Is it better for Adult or Mainstream? I feel that if I all of a sudden start doing it that I may got alot of cancellations from older members.:Oh crap

I've seen some sites, not necessarily adult, that have a box to check if you wish to receive their newsletters.. Might be the better way to go..
