I'm thinking maybe the movie just really really really sucks, so they figure they can chop it down to a PG13 and con a few extra teenyboppers into paying to see it...kinda like the disaster that was the Rollerball remake...

PG-13 = more money. That is, after all, why they make movies.

lets see the logic behind this:
get more teens to see movie, lose even more adults viewing the movie
= lose more money

No way, it's PG-13? Wow, then there will be no profanity, no shots of people dying, and very little blood. That's ironic, being that the name of the film is "Die Hard."

PG-13 is primarly greedy hollywood executives. You get much larger sales volumes than R rated films do.

Hence so many PG-13 horror movies as well, and the downfall of why the sequal to Conan sucked ass.

Apparently Bruce has been getting so worked up over people bashing it, he's resorted to having webcam chats with the nerds that are bashing him online.

pg13 = bigger audience

That is some bad news, I saw the trailer recently at the cine, looked quite good. Will have to skip that now.

I'm gonna give it a shot anyway. the first 3 movies kicked ass. So what if they leave out some swearing and blood? They'll make up for it with some kick ass stunts i'm sure.

Or it will backfire and people will smell bomb and avoid it at all costs...

This is why I rarely go to the movies any more. The studios are in effect double dipping by rating it PG 13. They will have a bigger turn out at the box office, and then when it comes out on DVD they will release an unrated version to appeal to the people who wanted all of the violence, profanity, sex, etc. to buy it and watch it again.
