Add 200 points to your credit score BOOST your credit over night...

Add 200 points to your credit score simply by adding years of established credit with perfect payment history to your credit file.

people with good credit can now put you on as a authroized user and then your credit shoots up...

the poeple that use their accounts have little risk, no credit cards or accounts are used... just the name on the account BOOSTs your credit score...

it's called ' piggy back '

it was on the news here - http://www.foxnews.com/studiob/index.html

:)

This is a really old method, but you have to make sure the card you are being added as an authorized user to doesn't have a longer history than your credit file. If your credit file is only a few years old and you are adding a credit histroy that goes back 5-10 years your file can get flagged.

Profits of Doom 06-04-2007 02:58 PM

I forgot to mention, if the person that you are piggy backing for any reason starts developing a negative history on that card or cards you will also be penalized with it. You really have to be able to get in and get out with this method.

I do love the bullshit in the report about the mortgage industry being unhappy with this method. They have taught more people to do this than anyone esle.

Cool. I'm gonna have to give this a shot. :)

Read about in USA Today, not a bad thing at all, once you score is up you are removed from the piggy back and its all yours.

Hi,

Yeh I saw this yesterday.. Don't ever pay a company to do this for you. If you have a "thin" - small file or some baddies, etc and need a point boost ask family, friends, etc if they will add you as an "AU" on one of the cards.. Best if cards with a higher limit and oldest history..

And no they won't flag you if you are put on as an AU account that is older then you or your credit file.

Never Pay..... 200 points can happen mabey, but don't bet on it....
You can gain quite a few though. I have added a couple of family members to my oldest account, Amex from 1994 - it helped them a bit...

thanks

Todd

True, best to be added as an Au to a card that is PIF (paid in full) every month or carries a real low balance.. and of course the higher the line the better.

If your an au on an account that goes bad it is too high util wise, you can always dispute as Not mine or Remove AU, etc, etc to get it off..

Uh, yes you will be flagged. The first time you try to get credit that doesn't strictly involve looking at your FICO score you will get flagged.

miss_twisted 06-04-2007 03:46 PM

Well someone add me as an AU user then. It sucks I don't have bad credit I just don't have enough is what they keep telling me, like a mortgage and 2 car loans and a credit card paid on on time everytime isn't enough. WTF! I think they want you to be in massive debt! I hate credit scores!

You are wrong......

I have seen tons of times that 16-18-to whatever age has there parents, sig. others, etc put them on an account as AU and nothing every happens.. When you check myfico, or anywhere else (the rest have faco score) truecredit, experian, eq, etc. They all show as an Authorized user on that card / revolving acct and they get the complete age of that account when it was opended by the primary...

There is a reason alot of parents add there kid(s) to an account when there 17-18-19, etc so they now will have a credit file, fico score, etc.

That is a good start there, I can recommend various products (revolving if that is what you are looking for)

How old are your lines now, i.e. cc, mort, car, etc. what are your fico scores?

Only true scores are from, www.myfico.com

They might be able to get a credit card in which the FICO score only is checked, but the first time they try to get a loan where their credit report is scrutinized they will be turned down. It is only a good boost to build your own credit from there (ie get your own credit cards), but it won't help you get a loan of any importance other than a credit card. Believe me when I tell you the rules have changed and what used to work doesn't still.

Ok, if you are talking manual review and you only have AU accounts and no primary accounts of your own - you might be somewhat correct.. Au accounts help a thin file and someone who might have some baddies on there... manual review for auto's (Auto enhanced score is used), mort's, etc yep... You might get approved but if the file is too new, thin, so many other things it might not help as much.. Score wise, np and I agree - Au helps but you need your own too....

I've done this before and it does work.. certainly wasn't a fast process though for me.

Amex is the bomb. If you pay them on time they give you anything you want. Of course it helps to be incorporated for at least 2 years. And if you're a platinum card holder you can go into the VIP lounges at airports and drink for free!!! I drank the yearly membership fee 3 times over in one outing before LOL

see sig...

Sometimes if your balance is over a certain percentage of your available credit it will bring you way down even if you pay on time.

The trick I used to get to 700+ was opening a bunch of credit card accounts and never using them or at least keep under 10% of my limit. Then wait a year.
