Wyoming Senator Craig Thomas has died, according to his family, The Associated Press reports.

Of course he is a republican.

The Wyoming governor is a democrat so you know he will pick a democrat to replace the guy. Sucks for Bush.

I think in Wyoming it works different for a replacement. In most states the gov picks any person to take a senate seat until a special election or next election comes but from this article, the state GOP picks 3 ppl and the Gov a Dem. picks one of those.??

It's quite possible. This is the type of voting that permeates the U.S. electoral system. They did a study in the 90's about people voting "the party line." Basically, they did exit polls on the party they voted for, then asked them to name the candidate. The results illustrated that many people were voting by party, not by candidate.
