Sopranos Conclusion....

Tony's convo with bobby on the boat.. " you wouldn't even know it had happened: everything would just go black."

That was brought up again last week, and with all the foot traffic in the diner, assuming he was knocked off wouldn't be a far stretch. :thumbsup

Ahhhhhhhhhh! makes sense for sure.

I thought there was going to have something to do with the arabs they kept talking about

spunkmaster 06-10-2007 11:02 PM

Shot to the back of the head by the guy who walked in to the bathroom.

Shot in the head = blackout = ending in blackout ?

starpimps 06-10-2007 11:05 PM

good theory, but i think thy just wanted to leave it open for a possible movie

MissMina 06-10-2007 11:18 PM

Interesting.... Maybe thats why it went black....

ah thats true, so maybe the place blew up or something

crockett 06-10-2007 11:42 PM

Interesting idea, however his wife across the table would have seen it coming.

What would it have mattered? There was too much going on in every direction. If she was looking in 1 place, the shot could have come from another. :2 cents:

IncredibleScott 06-11-2007 12:01 AM

it sucked!

everblazin 06-11-2007 12:05 AM

Never watched it but I'm glad now

Doesn't this "black out" that happened really reference the very first episode of the series when Tony starts having "black outs" and that's why he goes to Dr. Melfi to start with?

It makes sense when looked at this way because in the last episode he gets dumped by Melfi after she is confronted by her peers about sociopaths having an easier time committing crimes when they are in talk psychotherapy.

Tony hasn't had any of his famous "black outs" since he first started seeing Melfi... it would make perfect sense for him to have one as the ending of the series... which yes, possibly leads to a movie being done... but then again, maybe not...

He's not dead.

pocketkangaroo 06-11-2007 12:09 AM

There is a rumor floating around that the full ending will be on the DVD.

It could definitely go either way...And this is what Chase wanted us to do. Come up with our own conclusions based on all the facts of the entire series, and make up our own ending. :thumbsup

Money's on Sherm... And for the record, if I am peeing and you deal another hand, I am doing whatever Sherm is doing.

I have to say that I'm awfully bummed out at the ass-backwardsness of this whole last two part season of The Sopranos. I enjoyed the show when it was about people doing a crazy job and balancing it with normal life stuff. That spoke to me. This whole last season was so off-topic for the show that the annoying ending wasn't much of a surprise, although it was underwhelming.

V_RocKs 06-12-2007 06:03 AM

Lord I used to bitch about your payments...

nico-t 06-12-2007 06:41 AM

jesus christ stop this sopranos shit already....

Just finished the series; I forgot the ending. This is correct.

I just finished Gilligan's Island. They never do get off that fucking island.

bronco67 07-02-2014 07:02 AM

You have to admit, it's so much better to have an ending that makes you think -- instead of having it all wrapped up neatly. And that's the thing about the Sopranos...it was a really smart show that had a lot of cerebral stuff going on. The gangster stuff was secondary.

DerekMister33 07-02-2014 08:27 PM

I miss the Sopranos... Such a good show.

The end was the beginning all over again. When we first met Pauly he was relaxing out in front of the butcher shop sunning his face, Tony is worried that he might be indicted, and he was having family issues, but still loves to eat.

The last time we see Pauly he is sunning his face outside the butcher shop, Tony is worried that he might be indicted, he is having issues with his family, but he still loves to eat.

After everything he has been through nothing has really changed. Tony is damned to this life for as long as he chooses to live it.
