Can't edit posts?
 

Sorry if it's been mentioned... just made a couple of posts and noticed the edit button was missing. Anyone else seeing this?

And just to make me look like an idiot, the edit button appeared on that post. Blah blah :)

I posted two msgs into another thread and the edit button never showed.

i think you have 3 mins to edit posts you make, after that its there forever

Yeah more like two then it must have some sort of archiving system

Seems like if you edit it real fast it just changes seamlessly, then seems like you have another minute or so but it puts a note at the bottom it has been edited

there might be something wrong with the connection..

I'm guessing that timestamps may have been a bit out due to the db problem, therefore GFY thought it had been more than a minute since I posted. The two in this thread were fine.

(edit - and it's showing for this post too. a little hiccup, I guess)

no, it is 3 minutes . . . just seems like less because it takes two minutes to load

If you see the note at the bottom, it means someone has already read it with your error
