This kandah VS Star60 thread got me thinking:

i dunno who is in the right nor am i going to get into but it got me thinking.

Why is it that when alot of people fuck up they dont just admit it and apologize?
i swear the new thing in the world today is to just be a selfish asshole.

I mean how hard is it to just put down your balls for 2 seconds, admit you're wrong and try your best to make it better? Small things like this make the world better.

Is the world really that far gone that everyone thinks they are to mighty to admit any wrong doing?

I agree, if your wrong just admit it.

"My bad, I was wrong"

Not a hard thing to say and makes you more respscted in the long run.

seeric 06-13-2007 12:48 PM

accountability for your own actions takes time. when i was younger i never took the bad stuff as it came. now when i fuck up being older i take ownership.

its a quality i look for in other people now.

Exactly, i dont even need someone to come crying to me with some elaborate apology, just a simple "My bad, I was wrong" as you said suffices for me.

Once someone says sorry i am over it, i do not hold grudges.

Everyone fucks up sometimes i feel alot better myself after i apologize if i fuck up. I dont know how people can live their lives like that, i guess thats why alot of people are not happy.

exactly

immature minds can't see to grasp it, it is something you learn as you grow older

I feel people respect me more for admitting my mistakes and making up for them

#1 The customer is always right
#2 Do what you can to make your customers happy
#3 Be the better person

You might take a few hits, but it will more than pay off in the long run.

Apologizing is a sign of strength, not weakness. Most people on GFY seem to think the opposite.

i do not think it had to do with age, for some people yes, some people will never get it.

alot of times it takes a big event in your life to teach you some respect.

i feel like shit after fucking up and will seek out the person to apologize. i cant believe people can live with that feeling knowing they fucked someone and just not care about it.

i am not going to get into the entire is internet real life subject.

but sometimes there is a situation that is clear cut, it is alot easier to tell these situations in REAL life.

StuartD 06-13-2007 01:11 PM

People on GFY are never wrong.

You can never judge a man's character until he makes a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes and it's very important to know how people react.

Once upon a time I used to put stock in that basic credo, and always abided by it.

These days, not as much. I'd much sooner cut a customer loose if they become a genuine pain in the ass than pander to an unreasonable or abusive individual.

I dunno, perhaps its the times we live in and the higher ratio of assholes wandering the planet perpetrating scams and whatnot. But I know I don't have the patience for these types I once had.

Boys today fail to realize that out of all the qualities that make you a man the physical ones are the least important.

+1 to the above. I don't see anything bad in saying: "I was wrong, sorry man" :2 cents:

If something goes wrong from my end, I fix it and present the solution first, and then apologize for the inconvenience.

That way you have already acknowledged that you made a mistake, but you also show your dedication to make things right!

I hate pointing fingers. I rather solve things.

BusterBunny 06-14-2007 02:25 AM
