I have been an expat for 18 years but was wondering who else here hails from New York?
Myself, born in Freeport `63, grew up Manhattan/Bronx

I have never been . I want to. Are you going back?

My gf does, we'll be heading there next week.

I go back often to visit family/friends... never again to live there...

That's funny I was born in east meadow brook hospital. Lived in corona, Queens till I was about 12, and went to high school at southside high in Rockville centre. Moved to Atlanta right after the Olympics in 96

Long Beach NY born and raised...I live in Melville and NYC now

I used to get laid under the board walk there like crazy, and industrys in Island park use to be the shit, as teen clubs were concerned.

Born and Bred in Brooklyn, then in my teens moved to AZ. I moved back east as soon as I turned 18 again but then came back. I go back home several times a year. Got to get me some good pizza LOL

I was born in Baldwin but grew up mostly in Oceanside. lived in Freeport and Long beach for a bit also. I now live out east on the north shore.

I visited NYC for the first time in my life last month and hated it. Im not a huge fan of big cities and had very little expectations and guess what... It was exactly as I thought. I wasnt expecting it to smell so bad. I havent smelled shit like that since last time I had to drive through Tijuana, Mexico.

The one thing I did enjoy was the food (indoors). There is no way I could eat outdoors in that city.

I have to go back in August :(
